很好的酒店，出門幾步路就是海邊，早餐在四樓頂樓，可以俯瞰碼頭和海面上的船。一樓有個室外花園泳池，整體不錯。

The location is perfect. Short walking distance from the main areas in Stonetown. The pool is lovely and the breakfast rooftop view was really nice in the morning. The only downside: i upgraded us to a suit and it was a mistake. There was only an old bathtub and it was really gross. The normal rooms would have been much better to stay in, so don’t upgrade. Other than that, we had a lovely stay.

This is quite a nice hotel that is on the outskirts of the nicest areas in Stone Town. The swimming pool is very nice as well as the roof top area that offers breakfast

I landed at Golden Tulip because Trip.com messed up my booking elsewhere, and I only found out about it at the last minute. The location is right by the port, on a side of town that feels quite sketchy. However, Stone Town is small and safe, so it didn’t matter too much. The rooms are nice enough. They have everything you need. People are friendly all over Zanzibar, and at the Golden Tulip no less. The pool is lovely, and service is okay. Sometimes I had to ask more than once, phone down because my towel had disappeared, or guide them through my own bill. The restaurant is pretty bad. I’m not a particularly fussy eater, but don’t feel the need to eat bad food. I ordered three tester dishes on my first day, and didn’t finish any. Another traveler had a similar experience. Breakfast is okay. There is fruit, yoghurt, pastries, omelettes on request, toast, cereal sometimes, and a variety of hot dishes. Nobody seems to notice when the table has no cutlery or when the coffee, milk or a given hot dish runs out. Most days, I found the cereal (if they had it), fruit, and at least one hot dish edible.

Wonderful and helpful staff who are determined to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Je ne peux pas concevoir qu’on loue des chambres à des touristes où il y a des moisissures sur les murs. Les meubles sont vieux. Il est vraiment temps de faire des rénovations dans cet hôtel. C’est un peu honteux de la part d’une chaîne. Il est plutôt bien placé malgré tout. Le petit déjeuner est sympathique. Personnel pas forcément très agréable. Je ne reviendrai plus.

The Golden tulip Hotel and Zanzibar in general was an amazing experience. We stayed at the Golden Tulip Hotel for a few days in our Zanzibar vacation n the staff there are warm hearted, the rooms are clean and the hotel has beautiful views from the roof top restaurant whose food is also very tasty with a wide variety to choose from. One of my greatest highlights was meeting the Hotel manager Mr. Hasham who was also very welcoming and spoke highly of Zambia and it’s people and how much he enjoyed staying and working from Zambia in the 3yrs he worked in Zambia prior to his relocation to Zanzibar citing that Zambia is indeed his second home. Stone town generally is a beautiful place, the streets are windy and refreshing, it's well known for its beautiful doors, and the houses built out of stone and sand.. The streets of stone town are full of art and beautifully crafted bags and clothes it's a UNESCO heritage with beautiful history. You can visit the forodhoni food market and see the museum.. You can visit prison Island and Nakupenda also known as vanishing Island.. If you are planning a trip to Zanzibar don't forget to visit stone town and enjoy your stay st Golden tulip hotel. Ujambo is a famous word on the streets of stone town so don't forget to say it the kids enjoy..

Nestled atop Golden Tulip Stone town, the rooftop restaurant Curry House offers panoramic views that enchant. However, the culinary journey left much to be desired.... Despite the warm welcome, the Indian fare fell short. The menu, though promising, lacked variety, missing several quintessential dishes. Disappointingly, the pani puri arrived without its signature pani, and when queried, we were told it's served that way—an unexpected deviation. The chutneys were nice! Service, while not unpleasant, bordered on average, failing to match the grandeur of the setting. However, the attentive staff did contribute positively to the ambiance. Ultimately, it was the unparalleled vistas that stole the show, casting a spellbinding charm over the entire experience. With improvements in menu diversity and culinary execution, this rooftop gem could truly shine.

Initially I was disappointed with the location so near the port and felt cheated that breakfast was not included. For the price range I consider it should have been included. I came round to it though, the rooms were just so cool in the old style building, no Aircon required, the bedding was crisp and beautiful, the outside pool area was generally quiet and relaxing. Could do with some shade though. Or some chairs in the garden in the shade. Nice walk distance to the central along the seafront. The restaurant food was always delicious and good value for money. It is also a nice relaxed area. All the staff very helpful efficient and friendly. Started off not liking it but it turned me around. Thank you I enjoyed my stay.
