No improvement since last visit. Smoke smell still fills the Lobby from the open-flame cooking of Toro-Toro Restaurant. Great restaurant -- poor location choice. Hotel rooms are long-past due for gut renovations, as the rooms we have had on 2 visits confirm, which will cause us to stay elsewhere in the future. How old, stained, worn & chipped must furniture &/or bathroom fixtures become ”before” being replaced? All the staff were polite, courteous & helpful so no personnel complaints & housekeeping was basically OK. Attached parking garage is convenient since everything you want to do Downtown is within easy walking distance.
We bought a Groupon with some friends on at the spur of the moment and decided to forgo our weekend usual of being at the lake and instead drove 12 miles to this lovely hotel. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, and went out of their way to make sure our overnight stay was top notch. The pool is bigger than most hotel pools and very, very quiet. We packed a cooler and made a day of it at the pool. Eric, the shuttle driver dropped us at a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant for dinner and then picked us up when we called him. He helped with the mini refrigerators we needed and even provided extra pillows. We had a great time at the hotel. So much fun that we did it two weekends in a row!!
The entire staff from the associate greeting us at the door, to the front desk, to other associates in the lobby, pool area, outlets and housekeeper are amazing. It may sound cliche but it's true - this team is thee best in the area. Their 4th of July Eve event set up was spectacular to say the least. Having a well planned an executed process to order and pick up typical 4th of July delicious, by the way, meals and refreshments, ran like clock work - NO ISSUES. NO WAITING. Even in the 100+ heat, the pool, patio and veranda areas offered plenty of room to relax. While the actual pool is small, we still enjoyed a dip in to cool down and sat in a nice cool area enjoying the festivities. They had seating available for firework display outside, and our room faced the display too which I only found out after I ran up to the room for a quick trip, since our dog did not appreciate the noise. To top that off, they kept the grill going AND had a staged area for photo ops with props inside. Our accomodation were spotless.I was a hotel procurement manager in 160 cities for an airline and know what to look for - this hotel has an A+ .Plus I have been a Sales Manager and Star Training for another Brand. Dinner that night at Copeland's was awesome and our server Michael made my 96 year old dad chuckle about carding him for a glass of wine as he tended to our every need for refreshing our sweet tea and water. Bravo Michael. Can't say the same for the breakfast buffet hostess who needs a lot of training in hospitality. Yet, the servers for the breakfast buffet made us feel warm and welcomed even though we strolled in at 1040 and my children at 7 minutes to 11 - and told ”WE'RE CLOSED THERE'S NO MORE BREAKFAST”. The servers jumped in got them something to eat and we were out by 1115. So this hotel will now become our tradition for July 3 and 4 and we will extend our stay to longer next year as well as other dates throughout the year. The GM, Front Desk Manager, Housekeeping Manager and F&B Manager ALL are fantastic. We can't wait to go back.
訪訪客Went for business trip and family joined. Better than my last experience in a towne place suites in Kentucky I recently went to. Great ft worth location just not a walking distance from much. Better drive 2 to 10 minutes to get to much to eat or do. Friendly staff and spacious suites. Modern hotel, clean and well kept 11 am check out and bacon on morning 1 was a little limp bit otherwise pretty good stay
PPioneer17948243883I have been coming to this hotel multiple times over the last 6 weeks to visit a relative who is hospitalized. The accommodations are clean and comfortable, there's a nice complimentary breakfast every morning, the location is ideally located near some great restaurants, the Montgomery Street Antique Mall, and easy access to Harris Hospital. What _really_ makes this place great is the staff though. From Front Desk to Housekeeping to Maintenance to ”The Breakfast Ladies,” everyone seems to find genuine joy in helping their guests. Those smiles and welcomes and helpful attitudes make me feel like I'm one of the family. You can tell a lot about a place by the way the staff interacts with each other when they think nobody is looking...these are good folks who love each other and love serving their guests. My first experience kept me coming back, and now there is no place I'd rather stay.
訪訪客I want to let the whole World Wide Web know what a wonderful person the manager, Tiffany, at this hotel is. I am a nurse who came out of retirement to work for TX Health & Human Services at half the pay for what nurses are paid these days because I wanted to advocate for the vulnerable population I serve and the state is so understaffed as a result of the COVID pandemic. I investigate abuse & neglect in group homes that house the Adult IDD population (Down’s Syndrome, profound Autism, etc.) The job requires me to travel across the state M-F and stay in hotels. I made a reservation at this hotel 2 weeks in advance per state policy through Hotel Engine and came down with COVID symptoms which were subsequently confirmed by testing the night before I traveled. I was running a fever and frankly forgot all about canceling my reservation at this hotel. Room/tax is always direct billed to the state, but the state Credit Card had not been added yet to my profile in Hotel Engine since I was still a new employee. I saw the charges on my AMX bill a few days later from this Marriott. And this is where Tiffany’s outstanding empathy and customer service comes in. I called the hotel and left a message for Tiffany on her voice mail- crying throughout the message – because I could ill afford the charges and because I was very sick, asking for her to please refund my AMX and explaining that I had COVID. I also asked her to reach out to my manager who could confirm my absence from work and provide my testing results. But Tiffany did not call me back, and Tiffany did not remove the charges. I was directed by my manager to contact Hotel Engine. Hotel Engine has contacted Tiffany two times over the last 60 days explaining the situation and offering to provide proof of my COVID status for the week in question. Tiffany has given the same response both times: It is the hotel’s policy, and that policy is clearly stated, to require cancellation of a reservation within 24 hours in order to receive a full refund. I did not meet that obligation and she is not under any obligation to refund the charges. I agree with her and always have. What I was asking for, what Hotel Engine was asking for, what the State of Texas was asking for, was a little heart. Please when you visit this hotel, let Tiffany know that in the event she has family members who are now, or find themselves in the future, to be in vulnerable populations where they no longer have the agency to advocate for themselves, she can rely on people like me to step up and insure they are protected and receive the proper care from those who are paid to provide services for them under the state of Texas’ Medicaid waiver programs. Because I have a heart that beats.
Front desk seemed apathetic. Disappeared from front desk serval times during our stay. Bed was uncomfortable. Garbage disposal broke in our room and flooded the cabinet below which we clean up and reported to hotel. Had to request several times to get more sheets as we stayed here over a week. Breakfast food was yuck. Why are you placing velvetta cheese into your omelettes? Ran out of fruit quickly. Gym was meh. The peloton in there was not functioning for the first three days of our visit. Told hotel staff which did nothing. I finally got a wrench and adjusted the seat and had to update their peloton using my Bluetooth on my phone as internet to get it updated. I finally fixed that myself. Towels were in the gym 2x in ten days. Didn't have water until the very last day. Do not recommend
PPassport04433250415Professional staff, with a location to all you need in the Arlington area! Steak House Restaurant and In and Out Burger out the front door!
JJalaunii OBoth nights i was there someone “mistook” my room or atleast thats what the front desk said when I called down saying someone keeps trying to open my door. I had ants in the bed DISGUSTING BUT THE BIG NO REFUND SIGN AT FRONT & the fact I booked it through work I didnt even bother complaining. The after hour lock on the back door never actually activated so anyone could walk in the building. Middle of summer & the pool was closed. Immediate area is a little industrial/sketchy but i didnt have any actual issues outside. I gave 2points because parking was ample & great also they pre cooled my room which was great for the 104 texas weather. I will not stay here again but for the price it did its job since i wasnt there except for maybe 8hrs in total.
