My wife and I had a lovely two-week holiday at HG Jardin de Menorca. Everything about our trip was perfect (hats off to Jet2 Holidays too). The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Everyone spoke good English and tolerated my attempts at speaking Spanish. Wi-Fi was excellent throughout the hotel, including our room and even the pool area. We stayed in a Superior Junior Suite, room 2A101. It had everything that we could need, including UK TV channels (sometimes there was some flickering but nothing to get fussed about), hob, fridge, microwave etc. The room was very clean and tidy, with a very comfortable bed. Loads of hanging space and room for all your stuff. It was cleaned every day, including new towels. The shower was great, tons of hot water and great pressure. We had a good view over the pool area, and sometimes sat there just watching the world go by. The grounds were immaculate with grass areas all round the pool and lovely palm trees everywhere. The pool area was well laid out with lots of loungers and parasols. There was a lifeguard on duty all day, every day too. We stayed B/B and the breakfast was superb. A good mix of cereals, all sorts of breads (including a toaster), hams, cheeses, jams and coffee machines. Also a great range of hot stuff including a chef making eggs and bacon dishes. We ate at the hotel bar area (just next to the pool) a few times. It was great, with a mix of salads, burgers and local dishes. Everything we had was well presented and reasonable value. We had thunderstorms on a couple of days so we made use of the Fitness Room – a treadmill, stepper, cycle with multigym and free weights – everything you could need. We used the free local shuttle minibus a few times too: down and back to the beach area in Son Bou. We always booked to make sure we got a seat, and everything worked well. There is a well-stocked supermarket within the hotel complex and we found everything that we needed. Overall, we had a great time at the hotel. We would definitely go back: we couldn’t fault it at all.

We have just returned from a week at this lovely hotel and location and thoroughly enjoyed it ! The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms have everything you need, the beds are soooooo comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly. The views are amazing (we were lucky enough to get a room with one) but if not just go to the pool and look out at the beach. We loved the fact that this hotel is popular with many different nationalities. We were self catering but did have a couple of breakfasts ( enough choice for a couple of visits) and a lunch in the hotel (quality of lunch was first class). The team work extremely hard and nothing is a bother if you haven't got what you want then ask and they will try to accommodate. There are 2 supermarkets close to hand (good if you decide not to hire a car) We spent most of our days on the beautiful beach (make sure you go down the nature trail and watch the turtles, wild birds and dragon flies playing) but did walk to fornells and back (went on the old donkey trail, you need sturdy shoes and to be quite mobile) and walked back along the road (very pleasant walk), also caught the local bus into Mahon for the day - which takes about 55 mins We did our research before going so got what we wanted/expected and came home very happy 😁 if you want lots of restaurants, bars and hotel entertainment late into the evening this is maybe not the resort for you - but if you want total relaxation in a lovely hotel and beautiful location then I'm sure you won't be disappointed !

I was very pleasantly surprised with the accommodation, it was clean and great location and in the weeks stay we had towel and bedding change done 3 times which was very much appreciated. The location was a little noisy until about midnight, probably wouldn't be an issue for most people but with a young child we were in bed by 9ish most nights, luckily my little one slept brilliantly and after the first night I just used my headphones as ear plugs and had a great night's sleep every night. On the subject of noise....the walls are very thin and noise does travel. We did have a very noisy neighbour on the 1st day, who were a little noisy during their affectionate times, slightly awkward and just something to be aware of if you're going as a couple! The pool area was great, perfect for a little one as it is very shallow and we had the area completely to ourselves every day, also free WiFi in this area for guests. The beds were much bigger than the standard single you usually get, I'd say 3/4 size and comfortable. Yes the rooms were a little dated, but for the price for better than I was expecting. Completely functional and clean. There was a ceiling fan and little electrical heater supplied which really heated the space up. Even in 43+ degrees the room was pleasantly cool. Good sized fridge, only hot plates and microwave though for cooking but lovely local restaurants literally a 30 second walk away. Raining in Surrey for my birthday, couldn't have that! I booked a cheap Easy jet flight and booked Grupotel Mar de Menorca as it was near the airport (15 mins by cab). I didn't expect much given the cost for all inclusive but I was very pleasantly surprised. I arrived to a warm welcome and found my way to my spacious room. The buildings were all white with palm tree lined paths. The pool were surround by many sunbeds. Drinks and snacks served all day and breakfast, lunch and dinner downstairs with plenty of choice. Nearby a breathtaking cove for a swim in the sea. I wish i could have stayed longer!
