蒙吉納狩獵旅館(Mongena Private Game Lodge)

Absolutely incredible place to stay. The staff were very helpful and the facilities were fantastic. Nature freely walked around the hotel with zebras sometimes being just outside our door. Will definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Wer afrikanisches Safariambiente sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Die Menschen sind herzlich, die frei auf der Anlage herumlaufenden Tiere friedlich. Die Pirschfahrten stets erfolgreich und dank toller Guides, wie zB Roné, sehr lehrreich und lustig! In der Lodge ist für alles gesorgt, wer hier mehr Luxus sucht, hat bisher nur den Prinz aus Zamunda gesehen... Absolute Empfehlung!!

Slecht voor een enkele toerist. Goed voor de portemonnee van de eigenaar. Grote groepen beheersen de sfeer. Geen vakantie sfeer en heerst de sfeer van een teambuildings uitje voor personeel uit Johannesburg. Kamers klein, donker en zeer gedateerd . De Safaris zijn zeer eenvoudig in deze nog jonge wildernis waarin de natuur niet wordt beheerd. De gewone mensen die er werken doen enorm hun best , zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam . Het is het beleid dat er voor zorgt dat we geen 5 maar enkel 2 sterren geven. 1 ster voor het gewone personeel en 1 ster voor het Kingfishers restaurant.

Sehr herzliche Gastgeberfamilie. Leckere Verpflegung mit wunderbaren Ausblick vom Kingfisher Restaurant auf den kleinen See. Bungalows teils renoviert und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sehr freundliche Kellner und wunderbare Guides -- Danke für die vielen gesehenen Tiere an Lauren und Morne.. wir würden gerne bald wieder kommen, da dieser tolle Fleck Erde nur 1 1/2 Stunden vom Flughafen Johannesburg entfernt liegt. Nach einer langen Anreise aus Deutschland genau der richtige Ort um ins Abenteuer Afrika zu starten.

Mooie lodge met ruime parking. Zebra’s en andere dieren lopen vrij rond op het domein. Ruime kamers, propere badkamer. WiFi is beschikbaar is het hoofdgebouw en het restaurant. Ontbijt à la carte is heel uitgebreid. Als er groepen aanwezig zijn is er een ontbijtbuffet. Mooie start van onze rondreis in Zuid-Afrika.

我最初預訂了 Barnhouse，但沒有意識到 Barnhouse 距離主要旅館區大約 15 分鐘車程。我們原本計劃在旅館的 Kingfisher 餐廳用餐，但由於不允許自駕，我們不得不依靠護林員將我們從 Barnhouse 帶到旅館的主要區域。 The Barnhouse 真的很不錯，如果你正在尋找一個僻靜的地方，並打算自己做飯或燒烤來吃大部分的飯菜，那麼它是完美的，但我原以為它就在餐廳的步行範圍內，所以這不是我想要的。正在期待。我們沒有帶太多食物，所以第一天我們真的很餓。當我們到達餐廳用餐後，我們的心情好多了，一位名叫艾薩克的出色服務員為我們服務，這對我們很有幫助。第二天是星期一，前台意識到穀倉別墅並不適合我們，所以幸運的是，他們在主小屋有空位，並為我們安排了一間非常適合我們的兩層小屋。在我們的三晚住宿期間，我們與護林員馬特一起進行了兩次早上的旅行和一次晚上的旅行，他知識淵博，並且使談話保持活躍。馬特還帶著我們的兩個兒子一起去接待區附近餵動物。在我的Facebook 頁面上發布了我們在旅行中看到的動物的照片後，我來自世界其他地方的朋友提到他們喜歡看到通常只能在動物園裡看到的動物，有些人現在有動力來非洲！

We stayed at Mongena for a week and got married there on the Saturday night. So we've been interacting with Marina and her team for nearly a year planning the wedding. We had the most amazing time. All of the staff that we interacted with were extremely professional and treated us really well. They really go the extra mile to make sure you are looked after. The food is incredible - everything we ate was delicious. The grounds are very well kept and there are zebra, springbok and nyala roaming around, which are beautiful to look at. We went on a sunset cruise and two game drives, and saw a lot. The rangers were professional and knowledgeable, while also being helpful. The wedding was incredible - Marina is the most amazing organiser and every member of her team worked very hard to make the wedding a success. Everyone had a good time. We had people stay over on the Friday night before the wedding and it was great to have more time to interact with our guests. Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend it. Bonus that it is so close to Johannesburg and OR Tambo airport.

We went there for the final lunch of your long weekend away in Dinokeng and the kingfisher restaurant is an excellent place to finish a great trip with an great dinning experience. Staff is very accommodating for families with small kids and the lodge area is a nice place to see interesting birds and see zebras close up. Every time we go there reminds me why friends of min picked it as their wedding venue.

So so disappointed. Having booked the River Cruise months ago for a special pre-wedding celebration, it was unfortunately cancelled due to the rain. This is of course understandable but I was super disappointed that Mary (to whom I spoke) could not suggest any alternative activities and made no effort help whatsoever. When, eventually, I suggested that we use the funds already paid at the restaurant, Mongena agreed but wanted to charge an additional R1000 transfer to collect from a neighbouring lodge. When cancelling an activity like this due to the weather, the Mongena team should have done everything possible to accommodate our group some other way, knowing that it was for a special event. Instead, Mary was rude and unsympathetic to what had happened. I'm gutted about by how poorly this was handled.
