獵人小屋旅館(Hunters Lodge Inn)

Could not understand why my burger was placed on a napkin on the plate. - it would be impossible to pick up and eat because it was too big and cutting the burger meant also cutting the napkin!

Great breakfast and friendly staff. Nice clean room. Great for an overnight stay. The location is great for visiting The Newt , Bruton and Stourhead NT.

It was a lovely stay in a large family room with plenty of room for 4 of us. It had everything we needed. Lovely comfortable clean beds, and a very large bathroom with double sink and bath with shower over. The food was good and the staff friendly and polite. One star off for cleanliness as there were a lot of cobwebs especially in the restaurant. Everything else was very clean. If the weather had been better my boys would have loved exploring the grounds and play area too it looked really good.

The positives - great staff in the restaurant who were very friendly and accommodating. Brilliant park for the children. Food very good quality and reasonably priced. Family room very spacious and clean. The negatives - the 2 single beds were rock hard which resulted in our 2 children hardly sleeping. After the first night I asked if they could perhaps put a quilt or something under the sheet to make it softer and they said they would. But they didn’t. When we checked out I spoke to a blonde lady behind the bar and gave her our key. She grunted at me and was so rude. Didn’t ask how our stay was or say thank you for the key. Just snarled at me.

I’ve got to say what a lovely hotel this is! Lovely food excellent service couldn’t do enough for me! Thankyou 😊

Such friendly and helpful staff. I m lactose intolerant and they went to, lot of trouble to help choose the right meal. Amazingly reasonable prices for food and drink

Comfortable warm room great value, friendly country small lodge. Excellent breakfast before a day at a farm. Thank you.

Great little pub come b&b. I stayed for 2 nights for business purposes, and it was close to where I needed to be. The room was big and clean, the breakfast was lovely and fresh. The only criticism I have, is that breakfast wasn’t served until 7.30am. I’m an early bird, so earlier would have been better. I’d definitely stay again, especially for the range of fraught beers!

The Hunters Inn could have improved on cleanliness in both bedroom and bathroom. Although the bedding was clean and fresh there were cobwebs in both bathroom and bedroom-also quite a few flies. One of the bedside lights had obviously overheated at some time as the lining was badly cracked and split. I did not feel confident in turning this on again. The outer areas of Hunters Inn were tired with very poor cushions on the seating and generally the area needed a good tidy up and pots,paving etc needed some attention To be honest it is not somewhere i would revisit or recommend and i'm not one to usually voice a negative opinion. On a more positive note the staff were very friendly and the breakfast delicious.
