Absolutely charming, well worth travelling 120 miles to stay here. Stayed in the suite which is amazing. Perfect 2 night stay. Quiet, no door bangers, noisy neighbours. Perfect host. Would highly recommend. Good pubs within 5 mins drive. Would recommend the White Horse for evening meals.

We stayed for just one night. The room had a pleasant yesteryear charm and a lovely view of the village church and Hall grounds. Breakfast served in the dining room was cooked to order and served with the charming wit of our host. We will return to experience more of this wonderful home.

One of the most unique places we've ever stayed. The Hall is on 2000 acres of estate with wonderful walking trails. Your host is Lady Henniker-Major, who greets you and provides a wonderful breakfast experience. There have been halls on this site since medieval times (the current one was built in 1956) so there is a real sense of history here. Our room was comfortable and quiet. It's not over-the-top luxurious (forget Downton Abbey) but it's quite cosy and welcoming.

Staying at Thornham Hall is a pleasure. This is the 2nd time staying there and we will always pick this lovely place each time we travel to Horham Air Museum.

Wonderful historic building. Beautiful extensive gardens lake and walks . We were treated very well by Lesley who went out of her way for us .

Lady Leslie was down to earth and great,trusting us with th run of her lovely home.

Loved it here. Lady Lesley was superb host. Dont expect tv this is a place to rest up and enjoy the quiet. Breakfast excellent. Rooms large (we had the suite) overlooked the horses in the estate land. Bed very comfy. Enjoyed our 2 days.

Right, if you expect a "normal" hotel experience, don't stay here. If however you want to experience what I imagine it would be like to stay in one of Her Majesty's hunting lodges, and the Queen herself will serve you, then this is the place to come. It's quite an experience! The room was very comfy, quiet and clean, even rather quaintly were some pyjamas laid out to use on the bed. I am laughing as I type this thinking about why the toilet was in a cupboard and the sink was in another cupboard because when converting the room for guests, the aesthetics would be spoiled if the original cupboards were removed and the fact that the lavatory sounded like Concorde taking off when flushed. It's all part of the experience. It was quite Downton Abbey, I imagine that it hadn't changed much in 100 yrs and would have loved to have had a good nose about but felt a bit like I would be intruding so didn't. I probably will next time. The food in the morning was first class and the whole experience was quite surreal but very enjoyable. The escapism from the normal hotel experience is worth it and if you want to experience what being Lord Grantham would be like, you have to stay here. I hope to be sent to Eye again soon so I can rebook.
