達拉姆市中心雅樂軒飯店(Aloft Durham Downtown)

A very convenient spot for what we were trying to see in Durham. The hallways are dark, rooms are huge with minimal furniture. The foot stool for chair was damaged. There was no hanging in the bath for used towels or clothes beyond one user. Overall I thought the room was drab and dark. The cloth curtain for the hanging closet was not very attractive. Lastly I checked in via my phone and still had to go through the normal process at the clerks desk. Double the work for the same process, why? Considering the cost, minimal staffing, and minimal cost to construct and maintain this property it must be a cash cow.

Hotel was clean and has a convenient location. Parking is easy with garage near by. Only knock I had was there was construction happening during our stay so a bit noisy.

The hotel is under construction so the elevator and the hallways have a strong sulfur odor. For the price of this hotel, they Penny pinch for every additional cent. I booked the stay with breakfast included but that ONLY meant that I would have a $10 credit towards breakfast, not allowing for anything other than a wrap or sandwich that they warm in the oven and then hand to you over a counter but advertise as a “hot” breakfast. The wrap was pre frozen so when I bit into it, the middle was still cold. There are no microwaves in the room so rewarming it was not an option. If I had the chance to do it over, I WOULD NOT stay here again. I would book a 2 star hotel somewhere close by, as it would have been the same quality but for a lower price.

Aloft was a great hotel. The staff is all amazing- great service. Great rooms. I think it a bit overpriced for the amenities but it is in a great location. The water in the bathroom did not have a good smell - almost like a rusted smell. Another disappoin**ent was the small area to buy drinks and snacks. The coffee maker was “out of service” and I could only purchase my snack items by billling to my room because the payment system was down. At approx 300$ a night I see these as basic services. Cannot stress enough how wonderful the hotel staff is. From front desk to housekeeping. Great people. Thank you

We were put in a brand new room. It was great. Great staff.

1. We could have saved $150 off of our one-night stay if someone had told us about a senior discount. 2. There was a hair on the cup next to the bathroom sink. 3. The seat cushion on the bench in the room was tattered and scraped (unsightly). 4. The bath mat is frayed and tattered (so shabby).

Upon arrival at the reception area, the clerk said “credit card and ID”. No hello, how are you, are you checking in? Etc…. I found that to be very rude. I asked her if she didn’t want my name, and she said she could get that from my ID and credit card. Hummmm. The water pressure in our sink was VERY low, and upon entering the room, the area smelled like dirty feet or shoes. Not pleasant. The bathroom was clean, but I would have preferred more bedding than the top sheet surrounding a very thin duvet.

I stayed at Aloft over a long weekend to see a show at DPAC. Initially I had chosen the hotel due to its proximity to the theater, but was pleasantly surprised by how updated the hotel was and how nice my room was! My room was clean and quiet, parking was easy (although plan to check in on time if it's the day of a performance!) No complaints.

Nice and clean. Not a boutique hotel but clean and new. Great location to go to a Bulls game and cute restaurants near.
