This is the ultimate Bed and Breakfast. First, it is dog-friendly without sacrificing comfort. The staff is extremely accommodating and looks after your every wish and need. The Inn itself is beautiful and so comfortable. The breakfast is always different, delicious, and very well made with details. The Inn has all the information on Gettysburg right at the Inn and has very professional interpreters with a vast amount of Gettysburg history speaking (each morning). The expansive grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The Inn has its very own dog park (1 acre) and a dog station for towels and treats for your fur babies. We cannot wait to return and stay longer.

The place is very special feeling , very cool indeed, the breakfasts were amazing snd the staff very accommodating . Steve Gunlock the Historian was extremely knowledgeable , his talks were interesting and fun to listen too . His collection of artifacts is unbelievable. I could spend days listening to him , can’t say enough about him or the inn . I highly recommend staying at this inn

This was our first time at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast and we will definitely have future bookings! The Tack Room was incredibly beautiful, cozy and inviting and the grounds are abundant with fowers and gardens. My companion has dietary restrictions and host Sally and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating with meeting his needs and the breakfast offerings went above and beyond his expectations. All food was beautifully presented and absolutely creative and scrumptious! One-hour history presentations after breakfast are a wonderful experience for Civil War enthusiasts who are guests. Battlefield Historian and long-time reenactor Steve Gunlock brought the Battle of Gettysburg, and its soldiers to life with his extensive knowledge, enthusiasm and amazing artifacts. We had an INCREDIBLE stay and will return!

We loved our stay at the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were clean and spacious. We enjoyed interacting with the cats on the property. JD was a great host. He gave us a tour as well as restaurant recommendations. Afternoon cookies were delicious. Breakfast was amazing both mornings we were there. The historian, Steve Gunlock, was definitely the biggest highlight of our trip. He gave us lots of information. He told stories and became the character whose story he was telling. He had lots of artifacts that we were able to hold and see up close - not behind plastic. He brought civil war guns and taught us how to shoot them and we were actually able to shoot them on the property. I would definitely return here.

Absolutely incredible staff. They took great pride in seeing that all of our needs were met during our 5 day stay. Located on the south end of the Union line all the curators were very knowledgeable about the history and the specifics about the most famous battle of the civil war. The historian (Mr Gunlock) was especially knowledgeable when it came to sharing stories about the soldiers on a personal level. His collection of war artifacts is noteworthy. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks to the staff of Battlefield Bed and Breakfast. You guys made our trip.

I don’t even know where to begin. First, the beauty and serenity surrounding is beyond anything you could ever wish. The breakfasts are outstanding. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and so welcoming. The history programs are great with Steve Gunlock standing out-I wish he could impart his enthusiasm and absolute love of this history to other speakers-he makes you feel things in your heart. And, last but not least, the staff are fantastic. We’ve been coming for 18 years and we can’t wait to come back each year!

My husband and I went to visit Gettysburg for the first time as well as celebrate our anniversary. The Bed & Breakfast is wonderful and exceeded our expectations. They have thought of everything and the staff are very kind! From the comfortable bed, serene landscape, scrumptious breakfasts, listening to the Historian and relaxing in the common rooms, it was a perfect time away!

Our kids gave us a Christmas gift of a weekend in Gettysburg with a stay at the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast - we had such a fantastic weekend and the stay at Battlefield was flawless. Historic home that served as a general's headquarters during the battle of Gettysburg. The home is amazing, the setting so peaceful, and the staff were all fantastic. Each day the breakfasts were wonderful and historians were brought in to talk about aspects of the war - they were great! We also did the ghost stories our first night there - I highly recommend that as well!

We had the pleasure of meeting Steve Gunlock, battlefield historian from the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast at the Angle. He was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. History came alive talking with him and his trove of treasures he shared that included actual items from Gettysburg made our entire trip. He was able to answer every question that we had and added background information that helped us to understand how those three days in July 1863 must have felt to the soldiers. Our experience has made us determined to book a trip to the Battlefield B & B to make sure we can spend more time with Steve!
