Neat place. It's older but it is a convenient place to stay near Carlsbad caverns. Felt safe. Slept okay.

If you like your bed firm, this is not for you- much too soft for older backs. Was otherwise clean and comfortable. Breakfast was filling. The on-site restaurant was okay, convenient.

Once we finally found the hotel, it looked old worn out and was in a sketchy area. We ended up not staying at all. Where afraid that our belongings would be stolen from our vehicle at night. We just left and drove down the road a bit and found another place to stay.

Door wouldn’t latch without almost slamming it. Bathroom door drug on the floor, handle and lock were barely in the door. Bathroom fan didn’t work. The sink faucet barely worked. It seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned. Tv remote hardly worked sometimes, had to operate the tv by the buttons on the side. Checked with desk at about 10 pm, about the remote, night clerk basically told me I was sol!

This is an older motel which has been taken care of rather well. The facility has a detached bar and brings in a lot of people from the city abroad to party at night. Non motel stayers create a lot of noun the parking lot to drink, rev-up their engines, yell and all the other things partiers do.
The facility is well kept but the bar brings in a lot things not conducive to a quiet stay.

We enjoyed our time although a short one night stay.
