It is in the middle of nowhere, Erskine has very little to offer visitors, there is a small farm with a few animals for small kids, A swimming pool in what they call the centre, Locals very friendly, but they did not like the place being use by refugees for ages. One stated they just dumped their staff and are now looking for more, she would not allow her daughter to work there. Not a nice hotel. We went and stayed in a Renfrew hotel.

This was made a Migrants hotel, they moved them out last year. But as far as I am aware they are back in there. Beware of making a booking, not sure if you can at the moment though. When the current owners arrived they had made promises that the hotel would be refurbished and turned into the gateway to Scotland and their hotels in the Highlands. The only change I see after a couple of years is the sign outside.

I come here a lot with my company iv got to know the staff and managers I know the place is now closing for a full refurbishment I just hope they can either keep the staff or when it reopens can get them back I got to know the breakfast staff really well over the last year the lady that's in the restaurant Lesley and the chef Danny always a really good welcome in the morning from them and can have a chat before the day begins. hopefully I will see all of them again when the hotel opens back up good luck with everything

Hotel from hell. Worst place to stay and just about to be filled with 200 + boat visitors from over the channel. Do not stay here and avoid at all costs. If you want to stay in a poor mans faulty towers the thia ia the place. You'd be better staying in a cardboard box.

I was meant to have a nice enjoyable spa day with my friend for my birthday here at Muhtu, Erskine…my friend had kept on phoning to check that the spa/leisure facilities were all operational prior to our visit there on Tuesday to be told everything was fine … then we arrived to a very dated, health hazard of a place! (Lifts not operational, tables sticky, corridor walls and carpets wet and foul smelling-just to list a few!) We were told “we should have had a phonecall” and the spa manager said “it wasn’t his fault as he was off on holiday.” We we’re then made to wait a further 10 minutes until another manager arrived, only to be given the biggest & well practised “going to fob you off now by pretending to completely understand your issue” speech yet! My friend was told they’d email Wowcher-they haven’t-the manager said she would contact my friend to confirm all action had been taken-she hasn’t….DO NOT GO as it’s well below par on all counts including customer courtesy!!
