We were met and greeted straight away by the receptionist who came out and helped us with the luggage as soon as our taxi arrived. Some of the staff barely speak English including the workers in kitchen but staff were accommodating. I'm was very happy and satisfied with the spacious and comfortable room, very well air conditioned and has more in than room than I expected. Microwave, sofa and 2 large T.V's one across from your bed and another where the sofa is. Even the all-in-one toilet is high tech with buttons for different Bidet modes. The buffet breakfast was mainly Chinese style with different Chinese dishes but could have done a bit more to cater for westerners (so no farmer's breakfast/continental style), nevertheless tasty and a large selection with a few unique products from Taiwan. The gym has a pool table and table soccer game. The equipment is one basic machine that can do all exercises, has treadmill and low weighted dumbbells but not full on. The location is close walk to shops.

spent five nights at The Corner House in June, and were so very pleased with the experience. The hotel's location is central and perfect if you want to be in a quiet, residential neighborhood that is close to many of the best streets for eating and shopping, as well as Da An Forest Park for pleasant walks. The room featured a useful kitchenette and hot-water dispenser, along with "service for two" dishes, cutlery, and cups to allow for take-in dining. The room was modern, the bathroom was ample and state-of-the art. Our bed was very comfortable, and it was great having a safe for valuables and a desk for working. In such a neighborhood you would not expect too much space, but it certainly was ample.
