玫瑰山莊園飯店(Rosehill Manor)

We stayed at Rosehill Manor to celebrate my 70th birthday. Phil and Jane were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation was perfect for a large family get together. The hot tub and swimming pool were a big hit with both children and adults. The large garden gave everyone space to enjoy the outdoors. We cannot recommend Rosehill Manor highly enough to anyone wanting family time as there were 17 of us, 10 adults and 7 children. Thank you Phil and Jane for the use of your accommodation. We look forward to coming back again and seeing the new island unit in the kitchen - looks really nice.

Perfect place for friends to get together with everything you need and other things which make it extra special (hot tub, pool, ping pong and pool table). Being an ex-hotel gives it a unique feel. Owner Phil saved the weekend by lending a screwdriver after we had a problem with our sound equipment and couldn't have been more accommodating. We were a group of friends in our 30s/40s and certainly made plenty of noise but as long as you are respectful and look after the place you will be welcome here.

Overall Rosehill Manor is an amazing place; the downstairs space is fantastic with so much to do and it caters for all ages, so ideal for a multi-generational family holiday - the hot tub, garden, table tennis/table football, pool table etc are all brilliant and everyone had a lot of fun. The catering kitchen and bar were greatly enjoyed too. The owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly - on hand and available if needed but discreet and gave us space to enjoy our holiday. I've given 4 stars instead of 5 as much of the decor is beginning to show its age (carpets in the bathroom are not really the done thing anymore) and some features could do with a bit better care. If you're going to put a piano in a house please look after it and get it tuned at least once a year....people might laugh at that but there are people who would like to play while on holiday and for the price of this accomodation, £100 every now and then to maintain it would not go amiss. The location, though it's on a main road, is really good - there are plenty of amenities close by and some nice days out in the area. To be honest you'll probably want to spend all your time in the house anyway as there's so much to do!
