Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and nowhere near what one would expect from a luxury 5-star property. We stayed in a room costing around €2,000 per night, yet the bathroom drainage was not working, causing water to stand in the bathtub. This basic maintenance issue alone is unacceptable at this price level. The restaurant experience was even more frustrating. We were seated at 20:00 and then completely forgotten by the staff. It took almost 40 minutes before we could even place an order, and we only started eating at 21:30. There was no proper explanation, no apology, and no sense of urgency from the staff. In addition, the food prices are astronomical, completely out of proportion to the experience. Despite the very high prices, the quality of the food was only average at best, certainly not what one would expect at this level or for these prices. Overall, the hotel fails to deliver a true 5-star experience in terms of service, attention to detail, and value. The price-to-quality ratio is extremely poor, and the experience does not justify the premium rates being charged. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel to travelers expecting luxury, professionalism, and high-end hospitality.

This place is truly a bit of paradise. It does come with a hefty price tag. But the rooms & service was impeccable. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the team. From breakfast to dinner I couldn't fault this place. Spa superb & the wine tasting too. The knowledge from all the management to staff on everything (wine/food). Flawless. Would recommend this Delaire Graff Estate.

From the moment of arrival to our departure, the stay was simply a beautiful dream experience. So appreciative.

It certainly lives up to its name (The Jewel of the Cape Winelands) with its amazing scenery and the beautiful property to the most attentive staff that made us feel at home it was a truly memorable experience. Would recommend it to everyone.
