Le logement se trouve sur un terrain de golf. Il y a un restaurant et plusieurs bâtiments pour le logement. Nous l'avions choisi pour la vue sur le golf et notre chambre (2 nuits) donnait sur les poubelles et le parking ! nous l'avons signalé mais cela n'a rien changé. Le petit déjeuner est très correct. Le lieu est un peu isolé il y a ni commerces ni restaurants autres que celui de l'hôtel.

This hotel is basic and functional but is severely lacking in staff. With golfers being catered for with food and drink, we as residents seemed to be put at the back of the queue. We had intended having an evening meal but because of the lack of confidence both in front of house and kitchen, we ate elsewhere. The lodge style rooms are basic but clean, akin to a superior Travel Lodge. Breakfast was passable with a few shortages on the buffet table, with cooked breakfasts being served from the kitchen. It is pet friendly hence the reason we stayed there, but that shouldn't detract from the quality of the facilities or service.

We come to Drumoig restaurant on a regular basis and love the food, (6 of us) so we booked for the whole family (14 of us). Perhaps it was just a numbers thing but it was evident that the only bar attendant was trying their best to take orders and serve drinks and that there was only one chef in the kitchen. When the food eventually arrived which was far too long, 5 of the steak pies and 2 chicken burgers were over cooked. It was a bit embarrassing but my father in law was too gracious to complain knowing that there seemed to be staffing issues. If we knew this we would have booked else where. Nonetheless we will continue to come as the food is usually on par when ordering smaller amounts. I just wanted you to know that we wouldn't consider bringing a large number again.

I’ll start with the only positive from this experience, the bar tender/waiter who was working alone was attentive and friendly. We arrived at around 4.45pm on a Sunday for dinner. 5 adults and a baby. We ordered two bean burgers, 2 fish and chips, a beef burger and a kids macaroni. We were informed after around 5 minutes that there were no bean burgers. We had another look at the menu and ordered 2 x macaroni instead. After another 5 minutes or so we were informed that there was only 1 macaroni left and no fish and chips. We asked that the child be given the macaroni and we then ordered two portions of nachos and a goats cheese arincini to replace the macaroni and scampi to replace the fish and chips. After another 5 minutes or so we were then informed there was no food to order. I was under the impression we were still waiting for the 1 macaroni that was left for my 15 month old daughter as we had already been told that was avilable. However, after 50 minutes from making our initial order we still had no macaroni! We informed them that we could wait no longer and decided to go elsewhere. We received no explanation for the missing macaroni. I have never experienced anything so shambolic in my life. The poor waiter was clearly embarassed and receiving mixed messages from the kitchen who either had no idea what they had avilable or they just couldn’t be bothered to make it! Why we weren’t told when we arrived there was no food before allowing us to place multiple orders with a hungry baby in tow is beyond me. It was an extremely unpleasant and frustrating experience. As someone new to the area I was hoping to dine here regularly but I can safely say that I will not be stepping foot in here again. Nor will the rest of my party. I really hate to leave such a negative review but I am truly shocked by the experience we had here and I sincerely hope that the owners read this and ensure that it doesn’t happen to anyone again.

Having read some reviews I was a touch apprehensive, but should not have been. We were a group of 12 golfers from Glasgow staying 2 nights and playing 3 rounds of golf. Course was in great condition, especially the greens, just amazing, the Greenkeeping Team have done an excellent job. The rooms were fine, clean and comfortable, and the food was really good. Yes the Hotel is showing wear & tear and could do with better maintenance, but overall no complaints at all. Will definately be back next year.

Having booked a large golf party of over 30 people, we had breakfast rolls and a 2 course meal after the game included. The food overall was ok, with bacon rolls and coffee in the morning, and soup and dinner afterwards. The disappointing factors, I had 1 vegan golfer in my party, and having emailed prior to the event several times, verbally communicating face to face a few days before the event, all reminding them that I had a plant based player, I again had to tell the chef in the morning for his breakfast roll as she had no idea about him!! She did manage to make him a roll with vegan sausages….but after the game, he was served a large bowl with lettuce covered with some tomatoes!! Absolutely shocking in this day and age where vegan meal options are plentiful!! I also had a guest attend that was not playing golf and after we had all headed out onto the course, she decided to have lunch with her 2 very young children and was charged £48 as the venue does not do childrens meals!! These 2 issues were extremely disappointing and I am writing this review to make others aware incase they have similar plans. If you’re plant based, just don’t bother!! The standard jokes about there being plenty of grass out on the course to eat may not be a joke at all??

My friend Patrick and arrived at the Drumoig golf hotel on Tuesday 8th October, we had a very warm welcome from Val, although our room wasn’t available so we played a round of golf first. Val placed us in a very lovely room, and was very accommodating, when we needed a late checkout. All staff members in the bar and restaurant made us very welcome. We had a great 2days and we will be going back in the spring..

Excellent Hotel. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. Rooms although a bit dated are spotlessly clean and smart. Breakfast was superb and served (not buffet) which was a welcome change. Great value for money. The Golf course is challenging but very well laid out

Played Drumoig yesterday. I was a member when it first opened but don't remember it being this good The course was in excellent condition. A bargain at this green fee compared to other courses in the area. If you're in the area give it a go. Will definitely come again.
