Very nice, new hotel. Friendly staff. Very clean. Breakfast included.

Not especially bad service or property, but I would say there is most definitely something strange going on at this place - this hotel has an extremely strange a**osphere. Focus is not at all on guests. Other guests were generally loud and lots of social activity all over hotel. Personally, I willl not choose this property again. Love HEIS generally though!

Its new - so no issues with cleanliness or facilities. It does sit between a major freeway (81) and an all-night truck depot so there is a lot of noise.

When I arrived to check in there was a sign on the door saying “sold out”. I walked in, happy that I had made a reservation earlier that day. As I approached the front desk the woman there glared at me and said “we’re full”. I said “I saw the sign. Glad I have a reservation!” She said “You don’t have a reservation. We’re sold out” “Yes, ma’am, I do”. Showed her my phone with the confirmation email “That’s a third party website. If you’d booked direct we would never have given you that reservation and we wouldn’t have a problem now. You should try that next time. In the meantime you’ll have to work with them to find another room” I left and did just that. ********** did call me, I warned them that she would be rude to them, and when they called me back they said I was right… she was rude to them as well. They found me a room a few miles away, problem solved. I’m guessing that she had been having the same conversation all night, explaining how they had no vacancies. Maybe I wasn’t even the only one who got double booked that night. But I was 100% calm and polite even though exhausted and disappointed that I had to find a new room. She had no reason to treat me rudely.

We asked for a handicap access room for my wife. When she checked in, she found it to be a regular room. Called the front desk and was told it wasn't on the reservation and not available. Made it a difficult stay

My family and I booked at this hotel for a couple nights to visit Gettysburg and Washington DC. We were very disappointed at the level at the cleanliness of the hotel. The bathroom toilet had a ring in it. How long does it take for a ring to build up in a toilet? If there is a ring in the toilet how clean can the rest of the hotel be? The fan above the toilet was filthy. It was covered in dirty and looking like it was building mold around it. Again , if the bathroom had this much dirt how clean could the rest of the room or breakfast area even be? We talked to the front desk and they said they would clean it, but it was never cleaned in our two days of staying there. We let them know and they apologized but could not offer a refund since we booked through **********. We have called ********** and they have not helped one bit with any of this only made it more frustrating by keeping us on hold for hours on end. We never leave a review or usually complain, but in todays world with health and cleanliness on everyone’s mind we should not have to pay for this type of hotel on a family vacation.

This is a very clean and nicely run hotel. Super friendly staff who gave us excellent recommendations for dining in the area, as there is nothing in the immediate area. The room was huge and comfortable once you figure out the heating system. Average hot/cold breakfast was just right to get us on our way.

Room was spacious and clean and bigger than we anticipated. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. Definitely staying here again when we’re in the Carlisle area! We had three littles in tow — very accommodating to kiddos.
