託雷斯德索莫飯店(Hotel Torres de Somo)

Ha sido una estancia traumatica porque nos han comido chinches. Nos han dicho que son mosquitos pero no lo son. Mosquitos los ves y los oyes… ventanas hemos cerrado. Nos han pedido disculpas y ya… fotos de picaduras no voy ni poner, no quiero herir la sensibilidad . A este hotel les falta una revision de sanidad

Te esperas un castillo de ensueño y entras en la casa del terror. Reservamos este hotel para un viaje familiar guiándonos por las imágenes de la web y los comentarios de varias plataformas. Un fiasco, un engaño y una verdadera vergüenza. Contratamos *una junior suite Deluxe* … una habitación que esperábamos tal y como presentaba su web luminosa, amplia, acogedora, ... cuando cruzamos la puerta y entramos en la creíamos que era una maravillosa habitación nos encontramos en un universo paralelo aterrador: un zulo, sin luz, anclado al pasado, sin cobertura telefónica y si siquiera sin cobertura del wifi del hotel. Las paredes rascadas, nuestra cama con un herraje que se te caía encima, la cama de mis hijas era un Sofá cama con un colchón efímero que chirriaba a cada mirada y en el que se te clavaban hasta las entrañas, los muebles antiguos de contrachapado de muy mala calidad y muy desgastados recuperados de algún almacén olvidado, el aseo con una bañera grande, si, tal como prometían y con la bienvenida de una cortina de baño blanca de anillas cutre, el techo con manchas de humedad y las rejillas negras. En la Vida me he sentido más estafada que con este hotel

El hotel en general está bastante bien en cuanto a instalaciones, goza de buen diseño, buena ubicación y el personal amable sin embargo, hay aspectos en los que claramente no cumple con las expectativas de un 4* como es el desayuno, la bolleria totalmente industrial, el fiambre de calidad media/baja lo que hace bajar mi puntuación considerablemente y variedad más bien justa, el café por suerte bastante bueno y la srta. Rosa que atiende en los desayunos, una persona encantadora. Me he alojado en hoteles de la misma categoría y superan con creces en el desayuno. La habitación con escasa iluminación eléctrica, apenas se puede leer cuando cae la noche. Creo que son aspectos muy mejorables y de fácil solución para darle la categoría real que el hotel ostenta.

He vuelto a repetir en este estupendo hotel. Hotel muy bonito, decorado con muy buen gusto. Silencioso. Habitaciones cómodas. La terraza de desayuno muy bonita. Personal muy amable. Tiene acceso a la increíble playa de Somo a través del campo en un paseo breve y bonito.

It’s a hotel of different parts in that there are good parts and not so good parts. We stayed for our last two nights in Northern Spain as it’s near Santander for the ferry but also Bilbao is only just over an hour away. We were welcomed nicely (English spoken) and the public areas are all marble flooring, light and bright. Once you go up to the bedroom floors though the hotel is a bit scruffy. The floors were marked and the glass walkway looked like it needed a good clean. Our room had the feeling of a garret as the window was high and small (we were on the top third floor). The furniture is dark but the bed was comfortable and once the banging and crashing had stopped from other guests we slept well. The bathroom was very dated and the shower over the bath wasn’t brilliant. Plus there were two flappy shower curtains to contend with! On our second night we ate in the restaurant and had a good meal for euros 25 each including water and wine. The waitress was on her own but managed to serve everyone in a timely friendly manner. No English spoken but Google translate helped. The not so good side of the food was breakfast. There wasn’t much choice (compared to the previous 3 hotels we had stayed in) and was more functional than enjoyable. There is nothing special about the area except for the big broad beach you can walk to from the hotel but can’t see from it. The hotel is in a suburban street. It’s hard to say whether we would stay again - possibly for one night prior to catching the ferry but it’s not a destination hotel.

Nice hotel. Pleasant and helpful staff. Easy parking. Good food. Very handy for the ferry at Santander. 25 mins away.

Comfortable well run well maintained pleasantly situated edge of town Hotel. Peaceful. Swimming pool for warmer times. Given a large airy room with good furnishings and equipment (except no tea/coffee making facilities). Satisfying breakfasts. Is a restaurant & bar but not used by us. Easy parking (most guests would probably want their own car if staying for more than a night).

Entorno muy bueno y aspecto exterior del hotel bonito. Los desayunos muy malos: bolleria industrial, embutidos de poca calidad y huevos revueltos y bacon hechos a granel. Esperábamos mucho más para un hotel de 4 estrellas . Punto y a parte, merece la atención de las personas de recepción. No vimos una sola sonrisa por su parte en toda nuestra estancia. Ni siquiera preguntaron cómo había estado nuestra estancia. Se limitan a un “hola” o “buenos días”. El baño de nuestra habitación (junior de luxe) anticuado, sin commodities y muy justito. En resumen, no está a la altura de las 4 estrellas y no volveremos

Un buen sitio para descansar y tener contacto con la naturaleza. Muy recomendable el restaurante. Personal encantador muy atentos. Dentro de las propuestas que te hacen para disfritar de la naturaleza nostros nos decantamos por el surf. Volveremos.
