老曼舍飯店(The Old Manse Pickering)

Our fourth visit to this super hotel in Pickering. Owner Valerie Gardner cannot do enough to make your stay so memorable and her food is first class. Do stay for dinner and you will not be disappointed. We have just booked again.for later in the year.

What an absolute gem of a guest house, I am so glad I chose to stay at The Old Manse, I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it. The room we had was lovely, everything you want, even air freshener in the bathroom, which you rarely get. It looked over the garden, we had the window open and we were treated to an owl hooting and the dawn chorus. Val and her team couldn’t have been more lovely and welcoming. Lots of choice for breakfast from kippers to full English, all was delicious. A massive thumbs up from us and thank you for a comfortable relaxing weekend.

Stayed for one night only as never been to this town before ,lovely place close to town with friendly staff .Huge comfy bed in a lovely cosy room. Great shower and bath robes are provided if you want them. Breakfast was fab, would stay again , thanks. ...Caroline and Brian.

A very comfortable stay. Valerie greeted us at the door with a warm welcome and tea and biscuits. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and gave us a good night sleep. There was a good choice for breakfast which was very generous and freshly prepared. Plenty of parking and walking distance to Pickering and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

The lady owner could not have made me more welcome. Such a lovely lady and a very nice and clean place to stay. I had the garden room. So clean and comfortable. If anyone is wanting to stay I'm the area this is the place. Breakfast was cooked perfectly. Very happy guest. Thank you

Valerie was so welcoming and friendly (as were all the staff) with tea and biscuits on arrival. Our room was extremely comfortable especially the bed and pillows. Very short walk to town centre. Breakfast was sensational with hot plates and delicious well -cooked ingredients and nothing was too much trouble. Noel’s cheerful chat and information in the morning as he served us was most welcome and a pleasant start to the morning. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel. The Old Manse has a lovely, homely feel and we had a very warm welcome from the host and her staff not to mention the wonderful - and very substantial- breakfast. Our second stay here and we'll be back.

My friend and I stayed one night here. I did not want to leave! It's the best guest house I have ever stayed in. Val and Noel are so welcoming and friendly, lovely dogs there too, and the whole place is so spotless and so warm and cosy. I had a large room with a four poster bed - wonderful. Fantastic attention to detail like bathrobes, lovely shower gel in the room and tea and coffee on arrival. The breakfast was out of this world. What lovely people and they make you feel special. I am already planning my visit next year. If you haven't been yet, treat yourself, it's worth every penny.
