公雞東市場飯店(Roost East Market)

For what it is, this is a decent property. It is essentially corporate housing—clean but slightly warn, with fixtures and materials that look better than they are. Great if you want/need to stay a while and avoid eating out (full kitchen) or like extra space. Sort of like a “grown up” dorm building, with recent graduates, long stay business travelers and people who unexpectedly find themselves without their previous home. As long as you don’t expect a high-end residential apar**ent experience, this can serve your needs. If you are visiting for just a few nights, a full-service hotel is probably a better choice at the same price.

Roost East Market is conveniently located to many attractions, restaurants, bars and activities. The staff was friendly and helpful and the accommodations were excellent and a great value. The only issue we had was the A/C is insanely loud - which seems to be the case at a lot of hotels. It can be turned off, but if you stay during warm weather, that won't be an option. If you're a light sleeper, this isn't the place for you. But if you don't mind the noise, the facility overall is very nice.

Clean, spacious apar**ent in an excellent location. Wonderful common spaces on the 3rd floor—kitchen, fitness center, library, pool table, outdoor heated pool, decks with comfy seating and space heaters, coffee machine available 24/7. Very reasonably priced given its space and amenities.

The rooms of this hotel are wonderful and very clean, chic, and comfortable. My complaint is that the pool looses sun at 2pm due to the architecture of the building. The pool is on the third floor, so it is blocked by the top portion. of the building. I was very disappointed as when planning this stay, I had been talking with the staff about how my goal was to have a staycation in philly with pool day and day in the sun because would be 93 degrees that day, and I wasn’t told that the pool is only sunny until 2. Beautiful place but if you are going for a swim day of sun, just take note of this!

Repeat visit. Not the same quality as the first visit. No cups for coffee - went to front desk - had to bring a cup from my room. Still a nice place if you want something spacious and need a kitchen. Staff actually amazing and kind group of people. Very helpful. Room had peeling ceiling over bed. Loose outlets in kitchen. Seemed poorly constructed and not well maintained. The daily night construction across the street made it challenging for a good rest. But then, a security alarm in Roost building went off one night after midnight and rang incessantly for nearly 40 mins. Unsettling. Disappointed this time around.

Just like the other Roost , it is a great place to stay. Love updated interior, great staffs and very clean room and location. The only thing we did not like was heating/ AC unit, it is loud we had to turn it off at night.

We stayed for 4 nights in Nov. 2022 & worked remotely from the hotel during some of that time. The location was great—walkable, bikeable, & runnable to a lot of things. Staff, particularly Ameenah at the front desk, were kind & helpful. Having a kitchen across from a Mom’s Organic Market was perfect. Finally, though I know this is not for everyone, I am a swimmer, & that heated rooftop pool was amazing.

Hotel is perfect location and room was clean and spacious. Main problem for this property is parking. They charge 42 dollars for one night. If you have hybrid or electric vehicle do not charge at their garage. Their fees are four time more than average. Is a scam.
