Motel refait /modernisé mais ayant gardé l’aspect motel d’origine Très propre Personnel sympa Chambre spacieuse , literie et oreillers très confortables , décoration très subtile et élégante ambiance gipsy Piscine , vélo à disposition Parking spacieux Lobby chaleureux surtout en hiver avec la cheminée et canapé autour Café ou thé gratuit dispo au lobby le matin Chambres côté route plutôt bruyante Privilégier les chambres vue patio ou piscine L’hôtel était plutôt vide lors de notre passage donc on a pu changer de chambre sans frais supplémentaire 25 USD par nuit pour un adulte supplémentaire Centre ville, restaus accessible à pieds environ 15 min Essayer The Dutchess : super spot pour le petit dej et dinner Attention Ojai est une petite ville ou bcp d’endroits ne sont pas ouverts avant mercredi On a adoré l’ambiance cosy et retreat de la ville Pas mal de randoq autour mais pas eu le temps et temp plutôt fraîches à notre passage

My Stay at the Capri was fantastic! The hotel aesthetic is very Mid Century chic and very clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The private patios are spacious and well kept and our puppy loved the outdoor Common grass area with beautiful tropical garden. Having Wine and snacks delivered to us at the hot tub was so fun, and the outdoor lounge with fire pit was such an incredible vibe and best way to wrap up the evening before bed. I look forward to staying here again soon! The rooms were spacious and clean and perfect for our get away!

Perfect place to stay for a night or two close to downtown Ojai. Clean, comfy, modern. WiFi wasn’t the best and the walls are quite thin, but besides that we had a pleasant stay. Would happily stay again!

Such a wonderful stay! They even upgraded us to a nicer, bigger room that was available, free of charge. The only thing I would change would be to have complimentary coffee in the room! It was a peaceful and relaxing place to be and we can’t wait to come back.

We decided to go to Ojai for my wife's birthday on March 22, 2023. She thought it would be fun to stay in a place that was built the year she was born and so did I. The online photos and aesthetic are admittedly cool, but that where it ends. I get really peeved with a too cool for school" attitude in restaurants and other establishments in the hospitality space. That's this place. But aside from that vibe, there are HUGE issues with this “hotel” (motel really), chief of which are the PAPER THIN WALLS. Next is the bathroom. Remember. This renovation was done in 2020. So with Covid, wear and tear should be minimal by early 2023 when we visited. The bathroom door is made of particle board which was completely swollen and ruined by water damage from the shower that features a fitted glass wall that only covers half the stall. As a result water sprays all over the wall and floor and even if you try to use the bath mat, it's completely soaked after a shower. Poor, impractical design. The Daiken brand AC was also odd. I've used many mini-split systems, but this one did not feature a remote that operated as a thermostat. Sure, it had a temperature setting, but no readout out of what temperature the room was CURRENTLY at, so there is no way to know where to set the temp relative to that. The in-room coffee and tea consists of a kettle and instant coffee. No Nespresso or other coffee service found in other boutique hotels of this price range. I assumed they were encouraging us to come to the lobby to enjoy their coffee "service" which features paper cups (okay fine) but no lids. Crazy. And Like seriously - do you think people aren't going to want to take their coffee away or back to the room? Where’s the kids?! Oh, and as a cherry on the top, add bad WiFi that only worked part of the time. Good thing our t-mobile data devices worked there. A cheap, ill-conceived cosmetic renovation does not a boutique motel make. Others have mentioned all of these things in prior reviews, so l'm not saying anything new here. Listen to them, and us. I don't know if there are better options in Ojai, but I know you should avoid the Capri.

Great stay and beautiful hotel. Love the option to rent bikes for free!
