I like the hotel location and the room size. I did not like the design of the room. There is no decoration, no color, and only bare and cheap furniture so it could be replaced easily when damaged by guests and their children. There isn't even counter space for our toiletry in the bathroom. The breakfast is as cold as the room. This is my first time in Marriott Residence, very disappointing.

The staff was excellent. My stay was good. While the property claims to have been “renovated” it was just a paint and carpet makeover. The drywall had poorly patched holes and the door between the living and bedroom had been kicked in and poorly repaired, but the knob was backwards and didn’t latch. The post office facility next door starts work noisily at 4:30 am. Otherwise quiet. Convenient to the MTA train. 40 mins to NYC.

I use to live at 5 Anderson St. But moved to VA. I am glad I chose this hotel to stay. I will recommend it to anyone coming to New Rochelle. And if I have to use it again, I will with no hesitation. Thank you all for a pleasant stay.

This was my third stay at this property - it gets better every time. The staff is top notch - so friendly and helpful - and the facilities are clean, comfortable, and in great condition. Will always stay here when my business brings me to New Rochelle.

The Staff were kind, helpful, resourceful and responded promptly and with compassion & empathy to any requests. There is also a nearby CVS, Applebee's & cinema if of interest The two downsides for me, were firstly, the use of single use plastics for breakfast. Additionally there were no water refill stations rather water in plastic bottles for purchase. It certainly seems like the hotel is making efforts to transition to being more eco friendly For business travelers or anyone new to NYC, the New Rochelle Station is not part of the metro subway in Manhattan. If you have business in Manhattan every day, you will have to purchase a separate $20 ticket per day to Grand Central to get to your final destination plus an additional metro card to get around the city.

Well it was 24 degrees in September and the pool was closed for season. I choose hotel because it had a pool. The breakfast was abysmal. I can’t believe a Marriot property would have so little attention to detail. Could only grab a coffee. Everything else was not worth the effort except maybe the waffles.

Stay away. Over priced and extremely poor management, especially at check-in. We stayed overnight in a 2 bedroom suite that had damaged furniture, a dirty/smartly carpet, and a refrigerator that had dents on its door. The air conditioning units were noisy.

Stayed for 3 nights in order to visit New York City. Very convenient to the train station (about a 6 min walk). We had a king bed with a sleeper sofa for our 9 year daughter. We loved having the fridge and stove in the room to keep extra snacks and such around. One of the employees went out of his way to find ketchup for my daughter for her hot dog (the restaurant didn't give us any with our order). The front desk was very helpful with our questions. You can tell the rooms have been redone. With that said our room 620, had a good size piece of sheetrock broken above the window, and there was a different color blue paint in the bathroom like someone was touching up things (but with a slightly different color). Neither was a big deal, but it was noticeable. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying for people who want to be close to the city without being in it.

Easy walk to the train to Grand Central NYC. Hotel is better than it was 8 months ago. Staff is quick to fix things that go wrong. Microwave, stove, oven, fridge. Across the street from Applebee's.
