The hotel no longer offers amenities like free laundry, hotel store has shrunk, business center demolished, and should not get rates above motel8 prices…what made them good choice has vanished. Now the laundry you got to have smart phone and download an app which sellls marketing to third party….no one reads terms but this reader does….last stay was the last booking…unless they revert back.

Sonesta provided the perfect go between, between Mundelein and Gurnee and Carmel. I was in town for an event and stayed out to make it more convenient. Sonesta is about a 10 min drive to Mundelein Metra (straight down US 45). Room was comfy with a kitchen to make your own food or to keep food and drinks refrigerated during the stay.

Everything was exactly as you would hope for a hotel stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms, peace and quiet, spacious rooms, and a decent price.

Outstanding - we'll be back! We brought our dogs along; we were assigned a 3rd floor room, well away from elevator & traffic - the dogs weren't bothered by odd noises in a strange place. BEST place we've stayed with the pups (even though they forgot to give us the 'pet amenities' mentioned on their web site).

It's a nice and quiet hotel thats always clean and fresh with friendly staff.

Clean appearance from the entrance, through the corridors, elevator, and the room itself. The bed was clean and comfortable. Both front desk staff members (evening and next morning) were very nice. I chose to stay here for two reasons: 1) I read good reviews previous guests had written; 2) I saw that Sonesta management replied to each review to thank the reviewer, comment on the reviewer's topics, and to address any poor experience the reviewer noted (and apparently I didn't see any poor experience that would make me not want to stay here). My family and I had a very nice stay and would certainly stay here again.

Decent place with clean facilities. However parking is not free for an open parking lot.

We love Libertyville Sonesta!!! Friendly warm people!! Safe quiet roomy clean rooms! Bravo!!
