地點優越,飯店環境優美。由於歷史原因,房間的某些部分可以稍微翻新一下。臥室整體而言非常漂亮,很有特色。工作人員非常樂於助人,也很友善。

Oh dear! Heritage but chaotic and disappointing. This hotel could be so much better but it’s stuck in the past. The good - the lounge is lovely and check in is efficient. The rooms are cleaned well and staff try to be helpful. Fantastic views! The not good: breakfast. Fruit tasted odd - almost a bit “off”. Eggs have to be ordered. You might get them within 15 minutes, or you might get nothing. Ditto coffee. You make your own roast. There’s a table spoon size portion of marmalade on the table for 4 people. Butter is little more than a teaspoon in size. Warm milk with the cereals and little choice (2). Easily the worst breakfast of anywhere we stayed in India. Tour company chose the hotel. The room - good size but very average bathroom with barely functional shower over the chipped bath. Poorly lit. Towels - thin and grey. They had seen better days as had the bed linen. No crisp white sheets here! Blue brushed cotton sheet under a similar white duvet cover. Very heavy duvet and two hard pillows each. Bottom sheet was stained. The worst bed on the holiday by far. The garden - attractive covered seating area marred by plastic covered cushions on the garden furniture that were tired and unattractive. Should be much better. Bottom line - this hotel needs an overhaul and better management. It’s not good enough and is resting on laurels gained in some bygone era. I’d look elsewhere.

Don't get fooled with the pictures shown specially the bathroom pictures,they r far away from reality n even d food is average specially for vegetarians most of all there is no view from d room as they mention in their room types u get a city view from few rooms but valley view is not at all there.

So we were 3 couples and my husband and me were with an infant. Our daughter is 8 months old. We had booked the deluxe suite so that we could get a bigger room. To begin with first of all, this property is completely run down. Literally apart from the lobby no place is maintained. The room is so rundown as soon as we entered we were all sneezing because of the dust on sofas and beds etc. and what follows is even more disgusting. My husband and me spotted 3 big rats in our room. We try not to think about it because it was extremely traumatic for us. We even had our tiny daughter. We screamed and ran out of the room and were then moved to the newer wing of the property. It was a nightmare. My husband and I decided we will never ever stay in a cheap hotel like this for the next few years. For the same price- Mayfair is 100% way better and more maintained. The kitchen is soooo dirty. The service is so slow. Please don’t stay. And if this experience is not reason enough for you to decide not to, I don’t know what is. After a lot of fighting, we were moved to the newer wing of the property that was cleaner but the linens were same, dirty and old. We were refunded for only 1 night when we stayed there for 2. And none of the consumables were waived. Which as per me was not at all adequate considering the trauma we as a family went through. Sleeping on the bed under which there were rats can be nothing short of a disaster for any hotel. BOYCOTT THIS HOTEL NOW.

Our reception team and ELGIN central reservations team and the accounts team responded quickly to your complaint as our guests are number one priority and we also made a full one nights refund to you immediately to that effect . With al due respect to you, it is very unfortunate that you give a review with a bad intent to malign the reputation of the hotel. You have also gone to the extent to mention the name of a competitor hotel and promote it . Once again we apologise to you that we couldn’t meet your expectations, however it is pertinent to mention that your review fails to meet the criterion of a qualified constructive feedback. One of the worst hotels in Darjeeling. Extremely run down with absolutely no service. This heritage hotel is so heritage, that rats love it. On the 1st night of our stay, we found rats in our DELUXE SUITE that we had booked for 11.5k per night. We were travelling with my 7 month daughter and we were terrified. Does this so called “heritage” hotel know the risks of having rats? Millions of infections could have attracted the baby. Extremely pathetic service in breakfast, lunch and dinner as well. Kindly avoid the hotel at all costs. We demanded that they shift us to the “new” wing which is a little bit better than the old wing. The kitchen and eating area is in the old wing which is not in a fit state to be called a hotel. It’s also not very close to Mall Road, it’s a 5min walk and to reach there you have to walk through a very thin shady lane. Not safe at nights. When they tried to find the rats that had entered our room, they removed the huge pile of dust which was sitting under the sofas and our beds. If you have asthma or any dust allergies, best to look for better options. Mayfair I hear is really good. Please don’t waste your money and health here. My recent experience at The Elgin Darjeeling was nothing short of disappointing, marred by the hotel's of Ms. Subrata Nandy. From start to finish, it was evident that she lacked even the most basic training in guest relations. The rudeness exhibited by Ms. Nandy was simply unacceptable. It was abundantly clear that they were ill-equipped to interact with guests in a polite and respectful manner. Their fake attitudes only served to exacerbate the situation, leaving a sour taste in my mouth. Furthermore, the complete lack of coordination among the backend team members was glaringly obvious. It was as though they were operating in solos, the frontend team was completely unaware of the email that was forwarded to me from the backend. Adding to the frustration, most of the phone numbers listed on the hotel's website was non-functional, making it difficult to contact the staff for assistance. This lack of accessibility further highlighted the hotel's disregard for guest satisfaction. What's more, despite providing ample evidence of a legitimate reason for canceling one of our booked rooms due to a guest's unfortunate accident, the hotel refused to issue a refund or provide a credit note for future use. Ms. Subrata Nandy's repeated abrupt call disconnections during our attempts to resolve the matter only added insult. We’ve almost paid 1 Lakh for 4 rooms for 2 nights. We’ve just requested to cancel 1 room before 72 hours of check in, that’s it guys. A perfect example of a big hotel with a small heart. I don’t believe how these guys are making it to the hospitality industry. In conclusion, The Elgin Darjeeling offers subpar service at an exorbitant price. If you're looking for a heritage property with rude hospitality, then by all means, book a stay here. However, if you value professionalism and guest satisfaction, I would strongly advise against it. My experience with Ms. Subrata Nandy has left me deeply disappointed and disillusioned with this establishment, specially her rude behavior. I think she is a complete misfit for your organization, she is only fit for the hotels that charges less than 1K per night where the primary focus of the guest is cheap price and not services.

Heritage hotel but very clumsy, rooms have no view, at least they prefer to offer rooms which are dingy and claustrophobic with single window with filthy view. Despite most rooms vacant they prefer their guests to enjoy in such rooms. One of the rooms no 51 2 nd floor does not require bathroom as the ceiling itself acts as shower when it rains. Had I hopes for this property but comes out to be hopeless, As a mockery they the reception offered to change the room but on the next day which happens to be our check out day, Much better properties available at much lesser tariffs- so better stay away. They offer limited time for food also which is impractical.

Elgin is elegance epitomised. Elgin Darjeeling is a beautiful heritage property that truly reflects old-world charm. Our three-night stay in the Deluxe Suite was very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The main building stands out with its vibrant decor and classic colonial character, adding to the property’s timeless appeal. While the food spread was limited, the dishes were delicious and the attentive staff made the overall dining experience enriching. The room was thoughtfully decorated, and the bed was especially comfortable and warm, perfect for Darjeeling’s chilly climate. Overall, it was a memorable stay and I would definitely recommend this property.

I was so disappointed with the Elgin. My room was not clean, the light switches were dirty, the settee so stained and grubby I would not sit on it. The duvet cover didn’t seem to fit the duvet, one curtain was hanging off and they were very worn. Food quality was ok, but nothing special. The waiters were pleasant but service was slow. If as much trouble was taken on the inside as was on the manicured lawn it may be different. Seemed very unloved and in need of a complete refurbishment.

The bedding , bathrobes & soft furnishings were stained, including the lampshades. Bedding changed. However the bedding doesn’t fully over the duvet, so not very hygienic. Very noisy room, both internal plumbing and the noise from around, possibly the kitchen. If wasn’t with a group would have checked out immediately. Do not recommend. Value is very poor.
