Overall my experience was a good one. There was some noise, but it was a friday night in downtown Memphis. That's expected. But, the room decor is outdated and needs a new color scheme along with updated furniture.

I've stayed at this property a fews years back for work and decided to stay for personal stay. It was just ok. The bed was very very hard and was not comfortableat all. The AC woke me up all night as it sounded like it was about to fall out of the ceiling every time it shut off. The room was just ok but you could tell it had not been updated. The staff was nice and friendly as well as the valet service.

I thought location was going to be good given it is next to the ballpark and the Peabody, but man a lot of homeless people begging. Then you have to valet your car at $32/day and then breakfast you have to pay for and over priced. No microwaves in rooms. Plus a lot of water damage in the building. Just beware.

Beautiful hotel with a nice cafe plus a separate bar. Really liked the brick wall in the lobby and local Memphis art also in the lobby. No parking at hotel so you have to park off-site yourself or use valet. Also rooms don't have a mini fridge

No one made it clear to us that we had to request that our bed be made, trash dumped, towels freshened, etc. So after the first night, we left early the next morning but when we came back the room was not cleaned or tidied up or bed made. We also requested more shampoo and conditioner and no one bothered to bring it up so we had to request in person at the front desk the next day to get it.

Normally we have a great experience with Doubletree. This time, however was different. After waiying over half an hour at check in, we finally were able to make it to our room. When we torned down the bed, there were blood stains on the sheets. When we called the front desk, they said they were sending someone up. 20 minutes later, someone arrived, handed us a stack of sheets and when we offered to show them the stains, we were told "I just drop off the sheets..." and he left.

Ms Linae believe she was manager and was excellent had a very pleasant attitude, professional always. Would like to also speak of Jasmine and another lady was also very pleasant.
The afternoon shift were not as pleasant at all.
The rooms are basic, there are no microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms.

Dated hotel, needs upgrade
The hotel is dated. The lobby is gorgeous and it’s near Fed Ex Forum but that’s it. Looks like full size beds, bathroom is dated with chipped door and furniture. Toilet is too low and I am 5’5”. I won’t stay here again.
