SQUALID I arrived around 7.45pm and the room is dusty and tired but entirely adequate. Having read for an hour i go to the bathroom and the loo is unflushed and the lid up…. How revolting. I am paying a discount rate (presumably they are desperate) but even then this rather unclean place is still over-priced. I wanted to eat here tonight but if they are unable to provide a clean room, if they are unable to stop people urinating in guest bathrooms can you imagine what their kitchen is like? I offered to pay the first night but asked that I be allowed to check out early without having to pay the full three nights but they refused saying they needed a more substantial reason…. More substantial than staff urinating in your bedroom? What a ghastly, vulgar place

Yesterday, Friday 24 of May I was invited for the birthday gathering of my friend, at the building Home House 21, Portman Square. Our table was scheduled for 8 pm. In the course of our private conversation a waiter all of a sudden asked my friend if I was her mother in the front of the whole table ! We all were shocked by the insult not even knowing how to react … Obviously he is not very bright but if the management allow his employees to speak like these to the customers it tells me a lot about the whole establishment. None of the respectable place would keep this kind of staff. I will never come back to Home House again and will encourage my friends to do the same.

Around 50 on a business luncheon in this beautiful hotel and restaurant. Badly let down by the food - the soup was luke warm to cold as was the mains of beef. Wine was just about OK and service was hit and miss. What a great shame and the hosts should demand a partial refund!

My wife’s friend treated us to a traditional 3 course lunch in the Restaurant, and it was very nice indeed. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient, and the service was impeccable. Recommended.

Not 1, not 2 but three MICE seen dashing around during our dinner in the garden. Proper pest control should be in order in a dining location ! Food was average, room temperature water was warm tea temperature. I feel for the people who pay a monthly fee for the “privilege” of dining there.
