Best Western Preston Garstang Country Hotel and Golf Club

This is our third time staying at Best Western Garstang. The room got a nice view. As usual, we have a quiet room, warm and cosy. A comfy night again.

I stayed one night at Garstang Country Hotel with my sister in late November in a downstairs twin room. Ample parking right next to the hotel. Our room was spacious, clean, warm and quiet with a sizeable bathroom and excellent shower, along with a superior hospitality tray. We had both an evening meal and breakfast at the hotel. There was a good selection of food and it was all very tasty. Very convenient to have these food options on site. Staff were very friendly. In looking for somewhere to stay in the Garstang area I noted that some reviews for the hotel commented on the decor being rather old fashioned and tired. I guess in some ways the decor might be considered more traditional, but I thought the hotel felt smart and was clean and tidy. Overall very happy with the hotel and would stay again.

Excellent value, lovely staff. Huge comfy bed. Good shower. Very good breakfast. Fixtures and fittings are outdated and a bit tatty, but this is reflected in the highly reasonable price. Only thing that actually affected my comfort was the side lights in the bedroom weren't working so it was airport-bright or pitch black, nothing in between.

Amazing bargain stay. Staff were lovely, food excellent. Hotel is slightly tired but clean spacious rooms and everything you could need, even down to a usb port for charging phone. Free Wi-Fi was good. Bed was super comfy, will def return if in the area

Good , quiet location in the middle of a golf course . Good food . Clean , plenty of free parking , comfortable bed, friendly staff . Not so good - no heating in the bathroom, ( room 25),towel rails not heated or not working. No iron or ironing board in the room .

Nice helpful staff and the public areas were fine. The room was quite dated and dull. The bathroom was clean and the bed comfy. There was a line of thick dust around the edge of the carpet - need a better hoover with up to the edge cleaning!

The lady at the front was so pleasant and organized my early check in to accommodate my event in a hour. Thank you so much!

非常過時的酒店。接待處沒有人辦理入住手續，所以不得不在酒吧找人。接待員在退房時完全忽略了。床單被撕破了，奇怪的是，走廊裡有股肉汁的味道！ 便宜但不開朗。外面的恥辱使它看起來像一個不錯的地方。

Book in had been done beforehand, no reception staff and picked up room key in brasserie. Seemed rather a unfriendly welcome. Limited choice of food available for evening. Ordered haddock in lemon and caper sauce with new potatoes and vegetables. Came with haddock stacked on a small pile of potatoes and veg. Haddock was lovely, not a lot of potatoes or veg! Lemon sauce was too acidic drowned with capers. Very very disapointing and over priced for what was served. Decided to eat out elsewhere on next evening. Room was nice not sure about the garden view but the fir tree and building site hadnt been on my list. When I returned late at 11.15 one evening found my bedroom window had been left wide open by cleaning staff , pouring with rain and room was freezing cold. Then had trouble trying to get window to shut properly as window handle wouldn't work. Breakfast was ok but tasteless sausage. Very little fresh fruit and no croissants ! Nice location until you saw building site adjacent.....
