柯欽堡飯店(Forte Kochi)

A pochi passi dal mare questo hotel molto bello e con personale accogliente e premuroso è un'ottima soluzione per una visita a Forte Kochi. La nostra stanza era immensa e molto comoda e si affacciava sulla corte con piscina. Nella via dell'hotel ci sono negozi molto interessanti di artigianato e cibo locale e ad appena 200 metri c'è il mare con le famose reti da pesca cinesi. Il personale dell'hotel ci ha trovato un autista di tuk tuk molto serio e professionale che per pochi soldi ci ha portato a fare un interessantissimo giro della città e ci ha fatto vedere la famosa e affascinante lavanderia pubblica. Abbiamo cenato nel loro ristorante interno perché aveva fatto un bel temporale e non si poteva cenare fuori. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo e, per la prima volta nella vita, dopo una settimana di cibo buonissimo indiano, abbiamo provato la pizza (indiana): incredibile ma vero era eccezionale! La mattina avevamo il volo presto e ci hanno fatto trovare due buonissimi cestini da asporto con la colazione.

Nos ha encantado el restaurante, la comida muy rica. Tienen variedad de platillos tradicionales, mariscos, pastas, huevos benedictinos y los postres son lo mejor. Estuvimos acá unos 3 días en Kochi y fue el mejor restaurante. El personal es muy atento y Mathew es excepcional.

Cet hôtel a des chambres magnifiques avec des lits à baldaquin, des mosaïques. Le style colonial portugais a été respecté , et tout est fait dans l'art du détail. C'est difficile d'imaginer que cette bâtisse a 400 ans. La piscine est de toute beauté idéalement placée dans un patio

Superbe hôtel coloniale aux belles couleurs jaune et vertes. Des chambres spacieuses et confortable Ne rater surtout pas le massage avec REKHA , 1h de massage à l’huile chaude avec un gommage pour terminer. Un vrai bonheur en arrivant de Paris c’était plus que nécessaire

We had a great time at the hotel – we stayed nearly a week, in room 215, a nice large and airy room overlooking the pool area, with a great roomy bathroom. The wonderful thing about the hotel is its location, on princess street, and there are a number of good cafes and restaurants within walking distance, plus ***y of the attractions and walking areas are all very local. The pool area is well laid out, and free afternoon tea from 4pm always had some good treats. From when we arrived, the check-in process was smooth handled by Chacko, who gave us a brief tour, and made sure we were settled in our rooms. All the staff were exceptional, from Mathew who looked after us for Breakfast and evening meals, ***** with Sony and Jobika who made sure we had everything we needed. Food was really good, we met the head chef Gejo Joseph, and nothing was to much trouble. Any variations to a menu or a special dish not on the menu, were sorted quickly, a non spice vegetable curry for example, or a cooling glass of Lasse, and Gulab Jamun, which were not on the menu. Jibin was happy to discuss the merits of *** City, and we found everyone spoke English very well. Whilst we were there we also had meals at the other 5* hotels, and the food at Forte Kochi definitely was the best we had in the area. There were normally some events like dancing or local music most evenings, and the music always stopped before 10pm. Finally checked out early by Shalut and on our way back to the UK, they offered a packed breakfast, and made sure we were organised for transport. We love travelling and this is one of the top hotels we have stayed at in terms of people, location and room. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful Ambience….. good staff…. Pleasant stay experience….. i would rate it 5/5 . The place has a friendly vibe. Food is very good. The cleanliness is great… its a good destination for a holiday as the market place is nearby. I am really impressed with the hospitality of the staff

It is a beautiful place with an ambience which is a mix of traditional and modern, done up very tastefully. The food is excellent and the staff too is very friendly and courteous. The cleanliness too is very good. Our overall experience was very good.

From the time I stepped foot on this remarkable property, I felt like I was home. I was greeted with the biggest smile by Anesha and warmly welcomed. She provided us with a welcome drink (not sure the name of it, but it was water with cinnamon, clove, honey & orange slice). The rooms was big, airy & decorated with furnishings that were comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable! The premises were always clean and smelled fresh. The manager went out of his way to give permission for us to swim after hours. The staff left nothing unattended. There was always a smile on their faces and were always helpful. They were so receptive and friendly & and I have left this property with newfound friends/family. The Jetty had a great selection of food to choose from. Everything that we ordered was delicious- you can’t go wrong here. The breakfast buffet provided numerous options of traditional Keralan food as well as Western options. Also, you have the option to order hot food items off the menu such as appams & dosas. I did take the opportunity to use the spa services that are offered. I had a couple head massages as well as a papaya facial. Silpa provided the best spa services! She was very polite and made sure to attend to everything that I needed to make sure that I was comfortable. I highly recommend their spa!! Do not miss out on tea/coffee time in the afternoons. It is complementary & is served with a snack such as pakoda or Pazham Pori (banana fritter). This was definitely a special treat! I want to thank all of the staff who made my trip truly special. Amazing place to stay! I checked the reviews and the place lives up to all the positive comments! We loved the quaint building and period decor. Special mention of Shalu at reception and Ramachandran. We indulged ourselves with the Ayurvedic massages in house and the excellent restaurant. We will be coming back if our travels bring us this way.
