My husband and I chose The Dolon House for our anniversary getaway to Jim Thorpe, and could not have been more delighted. The Dolon House checks every box you ever had for a B&B -- comfortable, friendly, accommodating, personal, lovely, convenient, and full of wonderful food and conversation -- then elevates it to a level of concierge service and detailed charm that creates an unparalleled experience. Part of the charm is the place itself -- magnificently appointed, optimally located, and unfailingly warm and inviting. But the real magic is in the people who own, care for, and share the space with guests: Jeffri is the genius behind every locally-sourced and creative masterpiece that comes out of the kitchen, and Michael is the consummate host who remembers your every preference, offers the perfect recommendations, and has a fantastic story to tell in just about any situation. The care and personality and love they infuse into The Dolon House make it an intersection of history, art, culinary delight, and, well, home. If you want a B&B that gives you the warmth of family and the joy of getting away somewhere special at the same time, The Dolon House is your spot!

You must visit this quaint and charming bed and breakfast if you are staying in Jim Thorpe Pa. Our hosts were amazing and attentive to every detail. Our room was comfortable and clean with a big comfy bed. Jeffery and Michael served a delicious breakfast for the two days of our stay. Michael was amazing and eloquently served breakfast while enlightening the guest what we were about to be served and offering historical information and fun facts about Jim Thorpe. The entire weekend was throughly enjoyable. We felt right at home and will definitely be back again.

My husband and I spent 2 glorious nights here at the Dolon House. It was our first time at a bed and breakfast and both Michael and Jeffri made this such an amazing experience. Each room in the entire house is carefully and beautifully decorated. The a**osphere was so peaceful and everything we needed for a weekend getaway. The house is situated in the perfect spot in Jim Thorpe that allowed us to come and go easily to walk the town any time of day. The breakfast… top notch!! Like nothing you’ve ever experienced served promptly at 9am each morning. Sitting on the porch at night was our favorite. It was quite chilly when we were here, and there were warm blankets to enjoy and keep warm. Please book a stay with the Dolon House and it will be an experience you won’t forget!!

This was our best B&B experience, ever! This place is like a museum. Tons of artwork collected over the years. The service was outstanding...no detail was left to chance. Also has off street parking - very helpful in this town. 3 course breakfast was outstanding. We will return to Jim Thorpe and will stay at Dolon House when we do!

The owners Michael and Jeffrey are the best. They make you feel at home from the moment you arrive until you check out. The Dolan house décor is filled with love and charm, the Garret room where we stayed was very cozy and comfortable. Did I mention that the breakfast which was included was second to none. Hard to imagine finding a better Bed and Breakfast in Jim Thorpe.

Outstanding experience all around. Jeffri & Michael are excellent hosts, very welcoming & knowledgeable of the area. The room was comfortable & well appointed, complete with robes, real cream in the fridge, biscotti & cookies to go with morning coffee & top of the line toiletries. The 3 course breakfast's were amazing, utilizing locally sourced products where available. Located right across from the Opera House with private parking. Our first, but not our last, visit to this little gem.

Still the best bed and breakfast experience I've ever had. Gorgeous hotel, thoughtful amenities, and mind-blowing breakfasts. Each plate is beautifully composed and features innovative cooking without being pretentious-apple galette, oa**eal risotto with roasted chestnuts and squash, local cider, espresso...unreal. Thank you again for a wonderful weekend!

Owners treated us with disrespect and were condescending. They offered no assistance with our WIFI issues. The owner dismissed our concerns and blamed a ghost was causing our failed internet connection. The room smelled musty and the fridge was noisy. Also, there was no television in our room. The lack of hospitality and the inability to make phone calls and receive them created an uncomfortable situation causing us to leave the establishment. The owners made no effort to assist or accommodate us in any way. The next day we received a call from the owner accusing us of taking the room key and that we would be charged for taking it.

Jeffri and Michael are by far the best hosts one could ask for. From giving recommendations on what to do, to providing a top notch breakfast experience, they were more than welcoming. If you are planning a trip to Jim Thorpe and want the history, there is no doubt no better place to stay than The Dolon House. I have no doubt that we will be back again. As an added bonus, they have the sweetest dog, Pearl, who although is a bit shy, makes the house feel that much more comfortable and homely.
