5 Stars! We had an incredible stay at Eden Roc Cap Cana during the Festive Period. We traveled with our three children (ages 13-16) and another family with children the same age. From the moment we arrived at Eden Roc we knew we were in for a special treat! The level of service, primarily from our two concierge leads, Alberto and Junior, was top notch. From a simple question, to needing things for the room, to arranging transportation, to helping us manage our itinerary, they did everything! The beach and restaurant staff were outstanding! Not only very attentive, but fun to talk to and get to know. They took care of us everyday! The 2025 New Years Eve Party, Allegria, was AMAZING! We danced until after 1:00AM. What a fun experience for our families! HIGHLY recommend! We will definitely be back for another 5 Star and Memorable Experience!
!!! FINGER WEG BESONDERS FÜR TOURISTEN AUS EUROPA !!! Ich muss ehrlich sagen, dass ich sehr enttäuscht bin vom Hotel und der Umgebung hier. So hätten wir uns unseren Urlaub nicht vorgestellt. Aber zuerst zu den positiven Punkten: Positiv war: - Sauberkeit der Zimmer 7/10 - Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals 9/10 - Sauberkeit Pool 8/10 - Qualität und Angebot des Essens 7/10 Negativ war: Strand und Meer 1/10 Ein Grund warum Menschen dieser Welt die dominikanische Republik bereisen sind bestimmt die traumhaften Strände. Leider war dem überhaupt nicht so. Die vom Hotel zur Verfügung gestellten Strände waren komplett zugemüllt, voll mit Seegras und im Wasser konnte man kaum schwimmen vor lauter Seegras. Nebst dem, dass dies total ekelhaft war, sehe ich als Rettungsschwimmer auch eine Gefahr in solchem Gewässer überhaupt zu baden da die Bewegungsfreiheit stark eingeschränkt ist. Als wir das Management des Hotels darauf aufmerksam machten, sagten sie uns dass es Ihnen leid tut aber sie nichts dagegen tun können. Ich finde das eine Lüge da das Arbeitspersonal den Strand reinigen hätte können. Für uns war der Strand, sowie das Meer völlig unzumutbar. Personal und Management 3/10 Sehr freundlich, aber keiner spricht auch nur 1 Wort Deutsch. Bei einem 5 Sterne Standard ist eine Dienstleistung, die man in Anspruch nehmen darf. Ich empfand das Personal leider auch durchgehend schlecht gelaunt, bis auf einige wenige. Trotz zahlreicher versuche mit dem Management über die Missstände zu sprechen, wurden wir immer dreist abgewimmelt und darauf verwiesen zu warten. So verbrachte ich schlussendlich 4 Stunden meines Urlaubs in der Hotellobby. Die Beschwerden wurden belächelt aber nichts passierte. Eine weitere Respektlosigkeit dieses Hotels. Aktivitäten vom Hotel aus 2/10 Massentourismusattraktionen auf völlig veralteten, Sicherheitsriskanten, maximal umweltunfreundlichen und überteuerten Touren. So kann man das Angebot rund ums Hotel beschreiben. Leider bietet das Hotel von sich aus nur Tourenan die doppelt so teuer sind wie im Internet zu finden, über die Qualität möchte ich wirklich nichts mehr sagen, ausser unterste Schublade. Es gibt keine Möglichkeiten zu tauchen, Kitesurfen, Wakeboarden oder anderer Extremsportarten. Das Undercover Kinderhotel Leider wird man auch beim Hotel verarscht. Das Hotel teilt sich nämlich das Grundstück mit Nickelodeon. Dies führt dazu, dass es sehr viele Kinder hat und sehr viele Kinderattraktionen. Ich habe nichts gegen Kinder aber als Geschäftsmann möchte man einfach seine Ruhe in den Ferien geniessen und nicht permanent irgendwelchen Clowns, Kinderlieder, Hüpfburgen, Urin in den Pools und dem Geschrei ausgesetzt sein. Mittouristen im Hotel Ein weiterer Punkt war dass ich das Gefühl hatte der einzige Europäer zu sein. Alle sprachen Spanisch. Aus Europa schien tatsächlich gar niemand zu kommen. Wir waren auch die einzigen hellhäutigen. Ich habe da absolut nicht dagegen aber etwas komisch war das schon. Fazit L
Would not give this resort a 5 star. Having been to many resorts in various countries and leaning towards Royalton resorts when possible I would rate this resort as average. We also frequently go back a 2nd or 3rd time if we like a resort and would not go back to this one. There were some good points; nicely laid out, clean rooms, safe, nice pool but with a 5 star rating there are some expectations that come with it. The staff at the buffet restaurant was definitely more pleasant and helpful than the a la carts ( we tried all of them). The food at the buffet had great selection and I would say was better than the a la carts. That being said the floor in the buffet is made of a material that is very slick no matter the footwear so be prepared to shuffle so that you do not fall. I witnessed rude staff at the a la carts and saw guests leave without eating simply because they were ignored or not served in over an hour. The main pool is nice although it was disappointing to see that the staff left the dirty glasses and drinks from the day before laying around the pool till well past noon the following days as they are not very quick to get the pool prepared for the next day. I like my music but the main pool music in the mooring is excessively loud to the point you could hardly hear the person standing beside you. In the afternoon bring on the louder music but this was not pleasant. I requested the sound to be dropped a bit but was ignored. The pool bar serves good drinks, but again the front half of the bar has broken off at some point before we ever arrived and remains as a big blemish when sitting at the pool bar. Additionally the pool sign which I assume broke somehow during the middle of my stay lay on its side against a palm tree by the lounge chairs until my departure as opposed to being repaired or atleast removed until ready to be re-installed. If you are hoping for a nice cappuccino or coffee before 7 am you will disappointed as nothing is open before then. The insomnia coffee bar serves nice coffee and sweets but contrary to the name your insomnia better happen between 7 am and 10 pm as it will be closed other than between those hours. The pool grill (Munchies) serves decent food and is quick. The servers around the pool are also quick to get you a drink during the day. If you are going for beach sports the surf is frequently rough and I did not see the onsite surf shop open at all during our stay so water sports is out of the question. Booking restaurants thru the on site app is quick and easy however that does not mean that after you have booked, they decide not to open that restaurant that evening but fail to send you notification that it is closed so guests again are left disappointed. Communication is lacking from the top down as one evening the buffet was closed much to everyone's surprise and the al la carts would not accommodate those without reservation. The hotel was amazing everything was perfect. The food service and the stuff were amazing too. The rooms are huge and have everything. The pools are great . The beach is amazing. The entertainment was very fun and amazing stuff . They manage to move people. The gym instructors are amazing too. Staff are very nice and attentive - the best! overall grounds are beautiful, rooms are very clean and well kept and the beach and pools are very nice. Will definitely return with my family again. We are already planning for next year, June / July 2025
