馬里奧特杜漢姆市景觀SpringHill套房(SpringHill Suites Durham City View)

For the rate, it was just ok. A *much* less expensive hotel would have been fine. It’s not a -$400 a night hotel (which is what we paid). The parking is confusing and very unwelcoming - underground garage with ~15 spots plus a larger surface lot. Both appear to have issues with theft. Neither had complimentary parking.

Traveling to Duke University to see a cancer specialist the hotel was standard. But they burned breakfast setting off the fire alarm at 5:30 am. Then the manager lied to ********** and said it went off at 8 am. So does it happen alot 🤔 but anyway they refused compensation or any wrong doings even charged us 20$ for parking. So if you have any mobility issues please avoid at all cost.

The staff at this hotel are very rude, the general manager is absurdly abrupt absolutely horrible to deal with, and I would never stay in this hotel again! Being called white trash, and threatened to call social services on me by the general manager, at this hotel was absolutely disgusting! Marriott needs to review her and understand she should not be dealing with the public! I was chased out of the hotel by six of their employees while they were screaming obscenities at me…. I should’ve called the police! And I’m definitely contacting an attorney! Not recommended at all.

Place was clean / well designed — my room power malfunctioned, TV was broken. Arrival process was a poor experience

In general, the facility and our stay were fine, except the check-in service. The front desk agent was not very professional. First, I felt that I was not welcome since there was no greetings, no smiles when I walked to the counter for the check-in. She kinda gave me a look "you, next". Second, I was asked twice about my car color (black) for the parking tag. After the process was about to be done, she handed me the tag with wrong information (white color). Then she blamed me for providing it incorrectly to her. Also, there were no basic Customer service phrases to show the hospitality as I left the counter. Very disappointed about this experience because most of the time our family traveled, we had hadn't any issues like this at other locations.

Thursday night was fine. Friday night though! The power went out after 6pm and was off when checked out at 10am. The hotel would not comp our Friday night stay. Their generator only gave power in the hallways. The staff was limited to what they could do, but management was a big fail.
