金斯伍德飯店(Kingswood Hotel)

Our room was very clean if a bit tired and shabby in places. The views across the Forth and big windows are lovely though. Also old fashioned keys for the doors with massive, awkward key rings. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. My main issue was with the breakfast. The continental part only consisted of cereal and the cooked part was pretty disappointing with cheap sausages and cheap beans that weren’t up to much. For £160 a night I’d expect a lot better. Overall a nice hotel that could do with some updating and a much better breakfast. I’m sorry to say I’ve had better in Wetherspoons.

Ottimo hotel per gli standard scozzesi. Le stanze ampie con vista su giardino e baia. Ho apprezzato molto la presenza del termosifone (anche ad agosto) in bagno, che permette di asciugare e contrastare l'umidità scozzese. Spettacolare la colazione. Personale molto cortese e professionale. Giudizio più che positivo. (Noi l'abbiamo scelto per visitare Edimburgo, e non è vicinissimo 45', ma si è rivelata una scelta giusta).

Comfortable room but need a little maintenance. Would not bend on offering ordinary menu as they had a new owner and a theme night. Don't like spam fritter, prawn cocktail and upside down treacle pudding for circa 25 pound per head before drinks. If it was slightly less my apologies but to memory it was £20 plus .

A visit to the hotel for sunday high tea, standard is exceptional, relaxed, staff brilliant all led by Dal a real gentleman, cannot rate the establishment highly enough. Would recommend without hesitation, great food, well priced. If your looking for quality it is certainly wirth a visit. 11/10.

A bus load of us arrived at hotel for our evening meal although we were early the management and staff were first class nothing too much bother the food was delicious and piping hot would certainly return this was our second visit.The portions were very generous.

I cannot praise the staff, venue, food and a**osphere at this excellent Fife Hotel! My daughter's wedding was perfect, everything we wanted and more! Nikola and all the staff are so friendly and bent over backwards to ensure our stay was magical!

We visited the Kingswood with 2 old friends for an Indian meal. You have to order 24hours in advance if you want Indian as opposed to European food which means a bit of forward planning - but it’s well worth it as it means that your order is cooked fresh. The food was fantastic. We had a selection of chicken dishes, onion bhajis, rice and poppadoms and it was all really good. My friend rated her chicken tikka as the best ever and I was struck by how lovely and light and crunchy the bhajis were. The service was excellent too and we sat at the window and looked out over the Firth of Forth. A very enjoyable evening.

We spent a lovely afternoon in the Kingswood hotel. The Sunday roast was delicious in a comfortable restaurant with lovely views towards Edinburgh. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. Making this cosy hotel a must for anyone visiting this beautiful area of Fife.

We booked to go to the Kingswood Hotel for Mothers Day as we had been before and hadn't been disappointed. Family members all made an effort to go as our diaries are busy these day so it was nice to celebrate Mothers Day together. Where the hotel is situated is lovely with easy access into the hotel and free parking Unfortunately the high tea wasn't good. The meal choices were limited and a chicken meal cost extra. The cakes and scones were either cheap shop bought or if made then very disappointing and personally we could have made better ones. The child's menu had a dessert option which never arrived, We waited an over an hour to get tea and coffee and had to ask several staff on numerous occasions. The staff were lovely but not enough staff on shift to cover the number of people who had booked in for high tea. We were overcharged but that was sorted out when advised of the error. Staff did apologise to us several times over the course of the afternoon. Overall our family were very disappointed and this hotel unless they improve things wont be one we will be visiting anytime soon.
