Love loved it! It was so relaxing, fell asleep to the sound of the palm leaves moving in the wind. Quiet environment, friendly staff! Ill be back!

Hotel un peu vieux mais avec un charme indéniable

No water even to have showers with for whole day. Hotel needs modernisation.

Superb Olympic size(?) pool., with attendant and scrubby towels. Set in gardens overlooking the sea (and the ugly LPG tanker/power station moored between Dakar and Goree) Hundreds of kites soaring at dusk. Two nights at start of tour, one night at the end, Rooms differed. Ground floor room, ,hole in the mosquito mesh, broken hairdryer, cracks in plaster, lighting dim . First floor room ,all worked, not dim, a little larger. Clean bedding, comfortable beds. WiFi worked in rooms. Breakfast :Bean to cup coffee machine, dates(one day only) salad ,real cheese, ubiquitous French style pastries, bread and (L'horreur!) La vache qui rit cheese triangle and chocolate spread!! They also served omelettes on request. Fresh juices baobab / bisap (hibiscus) Restaurant ,reasonable selection of food but as I only eat small amounts they were quite happy to serve "starters" with additional vegetables instead of a full plate. Bar area between restaurant and pool, serves alcohol and will, if you ask ,serve FRESH juices not on menu, ginger , lemon , baobab or bisap Seemingly the hotel has been extended ,BUT one whole section is but a shell, with room doors and windows but nothing else. Staff helpful, some speak English but not all. Location: walk out to the left and follow up to a dingy lighthouse and run down area. Out to the right, walk past upmarket apartments and cliff side clubs along to the commercial port area. Neither direction offers any eatery ,so unless you veer off left towards town on the way to the port ,the hotel facilities are it.

Un endroit magique, perché sur la corniche face à l'Ile de Gorée, avec une piscine olympique bien entretenue et un personnel efficace et sympathique à tous les postes. Quartier de Dakar particulièrement calme, proche de l'essentiel. Séjour très agréable !!

Datato, non manutentato...bagni vecchi e nn troppo puliti. Piumone imbottito x una temperatura di 25 gradi! Solo un telo da bagno ( poco pulito), per 2 persone. Primo hotel, dopo 1 settimana, dotato di asciugacapelli. Bella la piscina olimpionica. Spiaggia con mare pieno di carghi, in attesa di entrare/uscire porto di Dakar.

Zu einem für Dakar günstigen Preis bei Buchung via Internet hatte ich mich für 3 Nächte im Hotel JARDIN SAVANA eingemietet. Hotel Der eingeschossige Bau ist älteren Datums, ruhig und ohne Verkehrslärm in einem großen, parkähnlichen Garten direkt am Meer gelegen, wegen der Hanglage jedoch mit vielen Treppen. Sehr hilfsbereiter Rezeptionist. Taxen vor dem Hotel. Zimmer Mein Zimmer (321), NR, DZ als EZ, war zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Möbel zwar schon mit Gebrauchsspuren, aber sauber. Gute Matratze im kingsize bed, ausreichend Stauraum für einen Kurzurlaub, Safe, Minibar, Sitzecke, Schreibtisch, TV (nicht genutzt), Telefon (defekt), genügend Steckdosen und Lichtquellen, verdunkelbare Fenster, AC, Wlan frei – auch im Außenbereich – jedoch nicht immer stabil. 1 Fl. Wasser/täglich. Leider total versiffter Teppichboden. Der sollte dringendst ausgetauscht werden, am besten durch Fliesen. Möblierter Balkon mit Blick auf Pool und Meer. Bad Wannenbad (mit sehr hohem Einstieg) mit Regendusche, geringer Wasserdruck, Bad/WC gut ausgeleuchtet, Körperpflegeartikel etc. Tägliche Reinigung und Wäschewechsel. Aufmerksamer roomboy. Frühstück Für senegales. Verhältnisse umfangreich, jedoch weit entfernt von kontinentalem Frühstück, sehr kuchenlastig, frisches Obst, kl. Auswahl an Wurst und Käse, leider nur gekochte Eier, kein Rührei oder andere Variationen, Tee, Kaffeeautomat, Milch, Säfte, Wasser. Vermisst habe ich persönlich Joghurt. Anders als in den anderen Bereichen des Hotels ist der Service hier sehr muffig und desinteressiert. Pool Großer Pool mit kleinen Mängeln (Fliesen fehlen), Liegen, Sonnenschirme und Handtuch kostenlos. Der Pool steht auch externen Besuchern zur Verfügung, z.B. für Wassergymnastik, Schwimmunterricht etc. oder einfach nur als Spaßbad. Da kommt es zu Engpässen: keine freien Liegen/keine Handtücher. Bedenklich in meinen Augen im Hinblick auf die Hygiene, daß auch sog. Pampas-Babys mit in den Pool genommen werden. Poolbar Gute Cocktails etc, Möglichkeiten zum Essen nach Karte, sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service (Planters Punch sehr zu empfehlen) Restaurant Open Air Restaurant - direkt am Meer gelegen, leider sehr schlecht besucht. Ausreichend große Karte, Umsetzung ok., man darf keine Geschmacksexplosionen erwarten. Gambas topp, Languste schwarz gegrillt. Aufmerksames Personal, besonders Almany und der Koch fielen mir angenehm auf. Strand Privater Strand vorhanden, den ich aber tunlichst gemieden habe. Fazit Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Ich habe mich wohlgefühlt.

J'écris cette critique avec une certaine déception suite à mon séjour à l'Hôtel Jardin Savana Dakar. Certes, l'hôtel est grand et se situe dans un emplacement stratégique près du littoral, mais la nécessité de prendre un taxi pour rejoindre la Place de l'indépendance, à moins de marcher pendant une vingtaine de minutes, est un inconvénient. L'hôtel semble avoir été un lieu de luxe autrefois, mais il est évident qu'aucun effort de rénovation ou de restauration n'a été fait depuis de nombreuses années. Les meubles sont vieux, rouillés et beaucoup sont cassés. Le pire était la moquette : tellement ancienne, décolorée et sale que marcher pieds nus était inconcevable. Le petit-déjeuner était le plus pauvre que j'aie jamais vu. J'ai séjourné dans des auberges à 30€/nuit qui offraient un buffet bien plus décent. Comment est-ce même possible ? La seule chose positive de cet hôtel est la piscine olympique et le court de tennis. Cependant, ces deux atouts ne compensent pas les nombreux défauts. Cet hôtel n'en vaut pas la peine. Les photos sur TripAdvisor et Booking étaient trompeuses. Je ne choisirai plus jamais cet hôtel lors de mes futures visites à Dakar.

Expérience horrible. Hôtel lugubre, insalubrité, présence de rat palmiste. Mérite une grand rénovation. Ils devraient changer de personnel aussi, la dame de la réception est très désagréable. Elle m’a traité d’impoli, m’a clairement dit qu’elle n’a pas le temps de régler mon souci alors que c’est son boulot et m’a raccrochée au nez

I had a pleasant stay throughout my 15 days here but the woman in the uploaded image was rude to me on the day I was checking out and all the other staff watched her. No one cautioned her. If she has been fired, I recommend this hotel but if she is still there I advise that you seek another hotel within the same price range. There is also a language barrier as many of them do not speak English.

Enjoyed this hotel very much. On the coastline, with great views on the ocean and the isle of Goree. Food was succulent. The only poblem was the internet. It simply was not good enough for people with a professional agenda.

I stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of a group tour of Senegal and for another night at the end of the tour. Rooms are in ugly concrete blocks. Both rooms were old and dirty. The shower pressure was low and there were difficulties in getting the showers to even work. Bed was probably one of the few things that actually looked clean. Safe didn’t work, phone didn’t work. AC did work. This hotel drastically needs money spent on it as it doesn’t seem to have been updated since the day it was built. There are 2 restaurants both with lovely views. Food was very average and the included breakfast was just ok. The swimming pool is 50 metres long and really is the best thing about the hotel along with its position on the sea. The garden area has some nice vegetation and lots of birds, although I did see some rubbish and old stuff was left in the garden by the hotel staff. A walk into Independence Square takes about 30 minutes. There is nothing near to this hotel so it feels a bit isolated. The WiFi was generally working quite well. With the location and the beautiful pool this hotel could be excellent. However, I was very glad to leave the old and dirty rooms for another hotel.

The worst experience!!! Don’t go here. I love had traveling all over the world. I just finished speaking with reception who In the most condescending manner. On my first day they couldn’t find my reservation and put me in a room that I woke up in 2am with bugs all over my bed floor EVERYWHERE! I had bites on my face and body. Including very big cockroaches. They couldn’t even manage to give me that evening as an apology not even a very apology that day. Then after the third room. I’ll add more later with pictures and comments on that. The manager was very nice then only to offer two meals $15 or so. They couldn’t even offer a free shuttle to airport. Which would have made it better instead the receptionist was rude ignoring me while I stood in front of him. Pictures and video coming.
