Good location for local amenities

The room we stayed In was very nice a little spiral stair case up to a king bed and below was two single beds lovely big bath . The staff was very welcoming . Bar was very good pool and darts the area had some good places for food lots of options

Nothing works! No electric, no shower fan, no tv power, no kettle power, nothing! Moved it all around in case i was going mad, still nothing. What a disappoin**ent. Too late in the evening to complain. Poor. Avoid.

We had a 2 night stay here as a family get away for my husband’s birthday & Father’s Day. Plus points: Location! Couldn’t be better for exploring the Cotswolds and only a few doors down is an amazing Indian restaurant. Across the road is a great cafe for breakfast if not eaten in the pub where it’s available by pre order. Staff: the Landlady could not be friendlier! So happy and chatty and helpful. We saw the housekeeper and she was lovely too. There are irons and ironing boards on every landing which is really useful. They give large bath towels as standard which is great!! These were changed daily. Bedding lovely and clean and fresh. Great shower. Access to Netflix on TV. We did not hear any noise from the pub below us at all. Negative points: Dark corridors. Access is via a fire escape when the pub is closed and there are steps in the corridor which are not easily visible. My husband actually fell down them and injured his arm on the wall. More lighting is needed! Very dangerous! Tiny car park can only fit about 4 cars. Check in is at the bar which may be difficult on busy nights. The room could do with a right good deep clean. Especially the bathroom skirting boards and maybe the wall by the sink decorating or tiling as these were very grubby. As was the lid of the kettle. No bin or toilet brush in bathroom. No hooks anywhere to hang clothes or wet towels. Room was uncomfortably hot. I guess not really the hotel’s fault as it was the height of summer, unless they install air con, although we were given a fan. Not suitable for people with mobility issues with all the stairs. Over all for £171 for 3 people for 2 nights this is a great value and adequately comfortable place to stay and for what it may lack slightly in cleanliness the Landlady’s loveliness makes up for it!

We recently stayed here with our 4 and half month old son, to say the staff are friendly would be an understatement - they really did go above and beyond to make our stay welcome. The rooms were completely as expected from the photos, quirky, clean and comfortable (besides the heat) but that’s no fault of the rooms we just had a few days of mega weather! We have already looked to go back which we no doubt will.

Average pub, unkempt outdoors Asked about sky sport and assured would be shown on the date requested - arrived with our family and friends to watch football and was turned away as watching racing Pub was completely empty and happy to turn away custom! Strange…..

owner/manager was very friendly. The only thing that was annoying was that we could only check in between 3pm-10pm, as we were attending a wedding 15 mins away meant we had to duck out early to check in as we didn't want to leave the party early at 9.45pm to do this..

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location for visiting the theatre and nearby restaurants. The room was a bit dated and requires a bit of a make over to increase the cleaning in the bathroom. A bit 80s furniture and pictures.

Kings Arms is a charming pub/hotel. The building is old, the floors are crooked, but that is why it is so charming!
