芝加哥市區南盧佩Homewood Suites by Hilton(Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown South Loop)

We attended a concert at Soldier Field, and picked this hotel due to location. The hotel was clean, the staff was so friendly the entire time. Loved the pool/hot tub and outside seating area. Hotel is located in downtown by all kinds of restaurants and other fun things! We were able to walk just about everywhere.

Me and my family stayed the weekend of chris**as we rented a total of 3 rooms for 2 nights , after check out i was charged $150 due to the house keeping lying and saying that we left all 3 rooms trashy and dirty. We was told that the house keeping jobs is to not throw trash out or ***** the bedding after each stay . Even tho we cleaned the rooms and even washed the dishes we still got charged for a cleaning fee. we contacted the hotel manger and we were told she has nothing to do with it and told us talk to security , which they never called back to address the matter and we was told that our money was non-refunable even though no one told us prior to checking in that house keeping only vaccum and clean the bathroom which she didn't do a good job at that either.

The reception staff is friendly but not so close, they are very indifferent, however the room cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful, the pool staff is very dry, cold and a little intimidating, even I would say very unpleasant. When you arrive at the reception and walk to the elevators there is a very unpleasant aroma like vomit, and this was the case every day we were there, they do not give you or give you bottles of water to drink. As for breakfast, it is not bad, but it is very repetitive and with very little variety, however the staff is very friendly and super helpful. As for the rooms, they are very clean, a good size, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is a good size, the shower has very good pressure and the water temperature is very good, it has a kitchenette (which we did not use) but a very good idea and option. with refrigerator, oven, stove, dishwasher, sink, dishes, dishes and cutlery. The view from our room was very nice and finally the location is easy to access, there are several subway stations within a 3 to 4 block walk and several bus lines and it is very well located. What I did NOT like is that despite having already paid in advance, they made us pay a deposit of 450 USD, which to date (6 days they have not returned) and the worst thing is that on the second day they tried to make another automatic charge for it same amount of deposit and that is very bad, that they tried to do it without consent, that was very unpleasant

The original room we got reeked of cigarette smoke, but Zero one of the staff members was very kind and immediately changed our room. My biggest complaint was all the noisy teenagers running around the property/hallways at late hours, WHERE WERE THE PARENTS!? The breakfast buffet was pretty good, and the staff in the dining hall was so kind!! The location is also convenient very close to L lines and bus stops, about 3-5 minute walks to them. Overall it was an okay stay for the weekend trip we had, the staff is what made this stay better. S/O Zero & the man who checks you in at breakfast, y'all are great! ❤️
