聖弗朗西斯小屋飯店(St Francis Cottage)

This was an overnight stay for us on our way to the great Smoky Mountains. We stayed in the spacious Cardinal Room. It was very comfortable with a sitting area, en suite bath and cozy bed. Breakfast was delicious and was served in the pretty dining room by our hosts Wallace and Nancy. Fresh baked cookies and wine in the evening were most welcome!

Nancy and Wallace were so welcoming during our two night stay with them! They treated us like family. Their home and grounds are peaceful. Their attention to detail is by far the best we’ve experienced; they thought of everything to make our visit delightful and worry free. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, breakfast was very filling and delicious…no room for lunch and barely ate dinner. The location was good, too; it’s about 25 minutes from downtown where we walked around, went to the Cokers’s Car Museum and ate Clumpie’s ice cream. We enjoyed the cavern tour at Raccoon Falls. We could go on and on. We will surely be back. Thank you Nancy and Wallace!

This was the homiest place I've stayed, and the owners were very kind and welcoming. The inn was tucked away off the road with a lovely, walkable garden. Breakfast was decadent and delicious. Highly recommend for a girls' weekend or a getaway with hubby.

We had the pleasure of staying here one night on our drive from Ontario,Canada to Florida gulf coast. It exceeded our expectations. We booked the Hydrangea room because we were travelling with our dog. The room was very spacious and had direct private access to an idyllic backyard. Wallace and Nancy are such a caring and thoughtful couple. Every detail has been thoughtfully planned at their beautiful bnb. Breakfast…wow where do I start... the meal was delicious and plentiful. Amazing start to the day! They truly care about the guests they entertain. We’ve stayed in many bnbs over the years and,without question, this is head and shoulders above any of the others. Very convenient to i75. We will definitely make arrangements to stay here again when we drive back in the spring.

We had a tremendous 2-night stay at the St. Francis Cottage. The location is excellent: convenient to a major shopping and restaurant area but very quiet on its own 5-acre lot surrounded by trees and gardens. We prefer B&Bs when travelling to a new area as the hosts have local guidance to offer and this was so true with Wallace and Nancy. Excellent advise on routes, restaurants and attractions. They are a very welcoming couple. Not only were the breakfasts generous and delicious (3 courses! ) but they offer a happy hour(s) in the evening with beer, wine and snacks. Such an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

As we entered this wonderful Bed and Breakfast we overheard a guest who was leaving tell the owners he didn't want to turn his room key back in because he felt so comfortable and relaxed at St. Francis Cottage. It truly is a home away from home. Every detail has been taken care of - from the super comfortable beds, to the luxury towels, to the well appointed rooms to the art on the walls. Nancy and Wallace have really outdone themselves in this gem of an escape haven. They are the kind of hosts everyone dreams about. Sweet, kind, and concerned. Their goal is to make sure everyone leaves the B&B just a little more relaxed than when they first arrived. The wine is a nice touch in the evenings where you can cozy up to the fire, take a deep breath and read a book. Or you can go into another living room and watch your favorite game on the big screen. While we were there they had the most incredible homemade cookies. I think they were rum raisin, chocolate chip, oatmeal and they were to die for. Breakfast is also a BIG treat. There's always fresh fruit and juice, with a hot homemade breakfast followed by one of Wallace's sweet treat concoctions. Breakfast is actually the wrong word - it's a full blown brunch plated individually with more food than you could ever eat at one sitting. The Inn sits on top of a hill with a beautiful view of the fall foliage and so many bird and animals in the back yard. Our favorite room is the Cardinal Room but the Monarch, Blue Bird or any of the other four rooms in the Inn are equally as charming. And it's just right off of I-75 - super convenient. I'm a little embarrassed to say we've stayed with these wonderful folks 16 times, but when you find the best it's hard to go anywhere else!

What a wonderful place to stay! Everything was perfect: room, equipment, outstanding breakfast and most of all the great hosts Nancy and Wallace. We also enjoyed getting to know the other guests from all over the world. We will definitely come back!!

As Nancy & Wallace discovered I talk … a lot … but I’ve struggled to find the words to say just how much we loved our stay at St Francis Cottage. From check in to check out everything was faultless. Having driven into Chattanooga along the interstate it was like finding a little piece of heaven when we turned up the driveway to SFC … plentiful parking … green space & birdsong. We stayed in Sunflower Room, which I understand is one of the smaller rooms but we had ample space & every home comfort we could need. The bed was like sleeping on a fluffy marshmallow. The en-suite was of a good size with plentiful hot water. The shared spaces are beyond compare … Lots of space to sit & watch tv, read or just relax … my favourite spot was the garden which is full of beautiful trees, plants, birds & wildlife …. It’s clearly been a labour of love for Wallace & Nancy. The breakfasts (3 courses!!) surpassed all expectation & left us full for the rest of the day … all of the dishes were beautifully presented & absolutely delicious. Each evening there was complimentary wine & bar which we enjoyed out on the decking. I’ve never stayed anywhere like this before … there really was nothing Wallace & Nancy hadn’t thought of to ensure our every need was catered for … it’s set the bar very high for future trips. After our first night we knew we hadn’t booked for long enough & we’re luckily able to extend our stay for an extra night. We were both sad to leave & really hope we’ll be able to return one day. A huge thank you to Wallace & Nancy for making us so welcome & looking after us so well.

If you were looking for relaxing getaway, this is the place. From the moment you travel up the driveway we were transported into a peaceful place. The inn keepers are incredibly welcoming and attentive. They have thought of everything to make your stay a wonderful experience. The breakfast they serve is incredible. This is the best B&B I have ever ever stayed in. A true hidden gem in Chattanooga.
