奧德旅館(The Old Lodge)

Reception staff superb, very friendly and went above and beyond with helpfulness. Breakfast very good, evening meal ok, very limited menu and one small point, napkins were paper and flimsy, would have expected linen ones in a 4star hotel.Bedroom spacious, bed quite lumpy, lovely shower. All in all an enjoyable star

Appauling room condition. we booked a luxury room and uploaded pictures to showcase the condition 1. Mold all over the shower 2. Silicon wall repairs in the shower 3. Stains all over the bedroom chair 4. carpets heavily soiled 5. large cracks in walls i would advise anyone not to stay in the property

This is a perfectly good stay for most folks, most of the time but I think I was a bit unlucky. As a lone traveller with limited mobility, I found the access to the stables a bit tricky, as you can only park outside them to pick up/drop off luggage - easier if you're half of a couple/staying with others but a bit of a faff on your own. Waited a couple of hours over the check in time for the room to be ready along with several others checking in, but the staff were very friendly and helpful in that time so that wasn't a major problem. I was cold in the room and it smelt a bit unpleasant, so unfortunately it wasn't a great experience on this occasion. I would stay here again, but not in the stables on my own, mainly due to my own physical limitations. It did make it clear on the booking info though so I should have taken note that the parking was away from the stables - only writing this so it helps others in the same situation.

Stopped in the Old Lodgings down the road. Ideal for the bike tour we were on as we could safely store the bikes and relax for the night. Close to central Malton makes it useful for tired legs

Overall an average establishment, badly let down by the quality of the breakfast (no vegetarian sausages available on day 1, undercooked mushrooms and under-ripe & undercooked tomatoes), no information in the hotel room and generally overpriced for what was provided.

Nice surprise when checking in, we had been upgraded free of charge to a lovely room with a four poster bed. Also it had an enormous walk in shower. Our stay here was lovely

We stayed in the outside building of hotel 100 yards isn’t exactly the correct distance from hotel though! Need to revise words in advert really!

A very pleasant stay. Was immediately offered an upgrade upon arrival. Very clean and comfortable.

Beautiful 400 yr old property … from the outside ! Unfortunately wasn’t as nice inside , very dated with lots of maintenance repairs to be addressed , bed was lumpy , pillows were lumpy , we had a feature room but it was definitely a 2 star stay for a 4/5 star price ! Won’t stay again but the receptionist was very nice
