The last time we were in Treorchy the Cardiff Arms was a pub (20+years ago !)so we were very interested to see how it had changed. We were very impressed. The room was lovely and modern fitted out to a high standard. There was plenty of tea and coffee for making drinks and some Welsh cakes for a snack. The bed was very comfortable though the pillows were quite flat. The bathroom was small but had everything we needed including complimentary toiletries etc. The rainfall shower was great with plenty of hot water and the mirror with built in light was very useful. The heating proved difficult to regulate as we could only get the radiator to be red hot or off. But that could have been us. Staff were very friendly and helpful both booking us in and in the bistro. Good meals in the bistro. In a nutshell a fantastic stay

Fantastic Hotel.Great service friendly welcome.Room was spacious warm and comfortable,nice touch with the sparkling and still water tea coffee and Welsh cakes. Bathroom was lovely with a rain shower and roomy.Food in the Bistro was top notch tasty reasonably priced and good beer.Only downside is no parking street parking only. Although they dont do breakfast you get a complimentary £5 greggs voucher which is only 5 mins away.

What a lovely place, the room was amazing and the staff were super nice and friendly.. ...couldn't recommend more.

Visiting girlfriend for Christmas from Dorset. I’m 6’ 3’’ bed was wide and long-for a singleroom. 👍👍👍

Great place to stay. Very surprised at how nice the hotel was. Restaurant and bar excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Really nice stay. Hotel is relatively basic but well designed, clean, modern and comfortable in a great location for the Brecon Beacons area or Cardiff. Really handy having a pub / restaurant on site too but there’s plenty of places to shop or buy food on the high street . Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Only minor issue was click-and-collect food feature was not working and shower tray leaked a little but other than that a great value stay. Would definitely return.

Amazing hotel/bistro, the way they’ve used the space in the rooms so well, such comfortable beds and they thought of everything that you’d need during your stay! Will definitely be back. Thankyou

Toilet had left over pee not flushed, ?cleaned☹️ Free breakfast was Greggs vouchers Noise block ear muffs....poor quality, didnt do the job as they kept popping out. Windows not double glazed, could count cars that went past.
