I spent nearly a month at Mala Dhara for my first yoga teacher training with Path of Yoga, and it was unforgettable. The staff were amazing, warm, attentive, and inspiring, and the villas are creative and comfortable. I loved practicing yoga in the beautiful shala, completely falling in love with the mountain views, sunrises, and sunsets. Taking a refreshing swim in the salty pool quickly became one of my favourite daily rituals. The home-made food was absolutely delicious, nourishing both body and mind, and the serene environment made every moment inspiring while I delved deeper into yoga wisdom. Mala Dhara is also perfectly located near Chiang Mai, local temples, and natural hot springs, offering plenty of opportunities to explore and discover. The sunrises and sunsets over the mountains were simply magical, making each day feel extra special. I highly recommend this place. It is a unique haven for trainings, retreats, or a peaceful holiday with friends or family, especially if you love being surrounded by nature and escaping the crowds.

My stay at Mala Dhara Eco Resort was so special. From the moment I arrived, I felt connected to the natural beauty and peaceful energy of the place. The resort is surrounded by green, rice fields, and gentle mountain views; it is a proper retreat into nature, away from the busyness of daily life. My room was simple yet spacious, with thoughtful touches that made it feel both grounded and luxurious in a natural way. The food was another highlight: fresh, nourishing, and plant-based. What stood out most, though, was the atmosphere: warm, welcoming, and deeply relaxing. Mala Dhara is not just a place to stay. It’s a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and feel part of something harmonious and beautiful. I left feeling lighter, inspired, and deeply grateful. Highly recommended for anyone seeking rest, inspiration, and a deeper connection with nature.

I loved my time at Mala Dhara Eco Resort. The place is so peaceful, surrounded by rice fields and mountains, and it just feels like the perfect spot to slow down and reconnect. The villas are cozy and beautiful, the pool was my favorite place to relax, and the food was fresh and delicious every day. I was here for a Yoga Teacher Training with Path of Yoga and it was honestly one of the most inspiring experiences I’ve ever had. The teachers and staff were amazing—so kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. Being here was truly special, and I’d happily come back again.

Beautiful venue and the sweetest staff. It’s the ideal place for a yoga retreat or training. So calm and peaceful and clearly so much care and love poured in by the owners. This place is a true gem.

This hotel is the venue for the Path of yoga School , owned by James French from England. It is a beautiful hotel that does not deserve being the place for hosting the teacher training courses these people teach. After asking the school to write me a letter signed with an id copy of the signer for getting the student visa approved already by the Embassy of beautiful Thailand in Chile ,, which was denied, this man and his inexpert and aggressor teachers starting keeping an eye on me as the owner asked them. Fay and Katrine harassed , aggressed and intimidated me until I was expelled from the expensive course for silly reasons , like protecting my telephone from being damaged by a smashed boiled egg in my purse . Cleaning it in airplane mode in silent mode before the class started . I paid for these expensive courses $ 6315 for the 500 hours . I am a citizen of Costa Rica and Spain . A woman, 61 yesrs old with recent cervical surgery, who traveled for 30 hours to go to beautiful Thailand. They made my luggage, lost my debit card and enclosed me for 14 hours in my bedroom. They treated me like a robber and left me alone in Thailand with a non refundable or exchangeable ticket. And what is worse James, invented stories saying that the hotel staff and the owner, who I did not meet said I was constantly disturbing them AND I NEEDED PSYCHIATRIC HELP. He invented a whole bunch of stories for not giving my money back for the first course. He was manipulative and dominant. NOW I REPENT ABOUT TAKING A COURSE IN THAILAND WITH WESTERN PEOPLE AND INEXPERT TEACHERS WHEN I COULD HAVE CHOSEN A SCHOOL AT ANY EASTERN COUNTRY INCLUDING THAILAND, THAUGHT BY GURUS OR REAL YOGUIS. I have told the story to my five teachers in Nepal and they cant believe this aggression happened to me ( and they know me well ) . I stayed with them 2 months last year in March . ALSO I took 3 hours daily lessons in Thailand and the owner and 5 teachers cant believe this happened at a yoga school. So as a conclusión this venue does not deserve to be involved with Path of Yoga. This school is full of negative vibes when you hace to ask for sonething that involves them teaching in Thailand. I wonder why????? And also the teacher was so sillyvas to tell us we could not use sone of the services the venue offers because only 7 people enrolled in the course and they were LOOSING MONEY!!!!!
