The place and people here deceives tourists and breeds them for money. For Kirikayan it's normal that their guests can't wash, can't go to the toilet, and sleep with lizards in bed. The apartments and villas have a huge number of insects, geckos and lizards, because the windows and the balcony are made in such way that they don't close tightly. They are not broken, they are made that way. The lights are constantly turned off. The manager always says that "it is the government and there is no light in the whole area". However, there is ALWAYS light everywhere except for Kirikayan. The light is turned off for a hole day. The toilet and water stop working. Also for a hole day. The temperature and pressure of the water in the shower does not allow you to wash the body. It is impossible to wash the shampoo out of the hair. To all the claims, Kirikayan says "I do my best", but does nothing. When you try to check out of your hotel because Kirikayan is in default, your deposit will not be refunded.

We had a great week here at the end of June. Whilst much of Thailand was in the midst of the rainy season the weather here was fine, so don’t be afraid to make the most of those low-season air fares to Thailand ! We stayed at Villa 101 which was very spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the garden pool and outside dining area. The local beach at Maenam is just a short walk and along the way you will find several shops, bars and eateries. ‘Walking Street’ is close by where you can enjoy a cocktail watching the street entertainers or browse the shops and stalls at the night market, there are more family bars and restaurants to visit here as well. The Villa is just a one-minute ride to the ring road where you can easily access other resorts and beaches on the Island and the daily ferry service to Koh Phagnan. This is a very nice day out even if like me, you are a bit long in the tooth for the world famous full moon parties. – Enjoy !
