Thank you to Raulston (?) who helped us with a late night and very last minute checkin. We were driving from Denver to Miami and had originially planned on going all the way through to Atlanta however because of the storms over Paducah we had to stop short. We got one of the last rooms of the night which was 322 and it was gorgeous. I can tell you first hand as a Director of Revenue the comp set should watch out for you guys. Great staff, well appointed rooms, clean, and well priced. Next time we will stop here on purpose!

Trash wasn't emptied in the room carpets felt dirty whole Hotel needs a proper deep cleaning otherwise great place wonderful staff beautiful design and overall very funky for a holiday inn . Breakfast was a joke but very friendly staff....

Initial greeting at check-in was very good. Room was quiet, very clean. Mattress encased (standard; Did not request). Contemporary decor. TV remote slightly tricky but OK. Hugh walk-in shower with rainfall and free-arm shower type heads, however, tile floor very slick and slippery when wet. Strike 1. Selected this location because of indoor pool. Secure access to area with room key. The pool is UNHEATED! Much too cool for me to enjoy. Only stood to waist level and watched several families. Step entry & exit with secure handrail. Deck tiles are not textured or sanded. VERY SLICK with wet feet. Even though I was stepping (not walking) very carefully, still slid trying to get a towel and return to my chair. SCARY SLICK. Strike 2. Decided to try dinner at hotel. No actual restaurant area per se. Large room with table & chairs, buffet heaters along one wall; opposite wall is bar area with 3 TV's. Sat at bar, barely greeted? "Bartender" (name unknown, no greeting nor badge) took my drink order and gave me a menu after I asked. Generic menu, wings, burgers, etc. I ordered wings. Delivered soon after on plain plate. Medium sauce was good but wings were barely hot and looked microwaved not baked. Very disappointing. Other ppl at bar we're chatting amongst themselves. Bartender remained silent, looked bored and just did minimal effort. He made one patron's drink wrong and didn't offer to correct it. Very disappointing to see this attitude for such an "upscale" hotel. Strike 2.5. At checkout, had to interrupt clerk from her CELL PHONE to process my room. No banter or interchange about my stay. No other staff present. She mumbled something to me which I had her repeat because I couldn't understand her. Turns out she was saying "you're free to go" before she returned to her CELL PHONE. Strike 3. I've had better experiences at hotels costing half as much! And pool should be listed as UNHEATED.

The room was clean. I had a standard king room. The size was a standard king hotel room, nothing fancy. I had plenty of space to walk around. For comparison, I’ve stayed at the Doubletree downtown Chattanooga in a standard king and could not easily between the furniture for much more money. The room has a microwave and fridge and a minimal leg lift walk in shower (it was not a designated special needs room). The amenities were Doubletree typical. The cookies are fantastic. The only minor issue is that the ice machines were down, which happens sometimes, no biggie. They had ice at the bar. The other improvement suggestion is that the bathroom have a shelf in the shower for my personal shampoo, but still not a big issue. A slightly more concerning issue is that the doors slam shut very loudly. Morningside, the breakfast was great. Now, if you don’t like a buffet, then you’ll be disappointed, but they have the best hotel biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. If I return to the area, I might just go there to pay for breakfast even if I don’t stay there. The staff was great, especially the breakfast staff lady. It is a bit hidden off the main road, but overall, my experience was quite positive.

Thoroughly unimpressed! Received keys to our room to which we crammed our family of five and the luggage cart up to our room to find it DIRTY! Unmade beds and half drank cups! Hauled the family back down stairs to wait for another room. Was informed it was totally booked but somehow managed to get another room. Rooms are tiny and bathrooms super small! Not worth the money at all. It looks like it would be an upscale place to stay but the outer appearance is deceiving plus there isn’t an included breakfast. Don’t waste your money!
