From the house, it's just a quick 1 mile drive -- or a gorgeous 20 minute walk along the ocean -- to the center of Carlsbad's Village, where you will find restaurants of every description, lots of shops and the Coaster train station. Go just 1 mile in a different direction to find a supermarket, drug store, the freeway entrance, and all the conveniences. Gourmet markets, fine dining and shopping, and Legoland theme park are all available within minutes.
