新堡博物館中收藏了文藝復興時期和巴洛克時期樂器的傑出收藏品。原為新落成於奧匈帝國解散后的霍夫堡宮西翼。新堡博物館面對英雄廣場，非常開闊壯觀。其中的露天很有名，希特勒曾在該露台宣布德奧合併。

博物館地區是環境優美的博物館，這邊建築也很漂亮。周邊也可以逛一個多小時呢，博物館需要買門票進入。雖然比較冷門的景點，當地遊客還是挺多的。
