The Arc de Triomphe in Barcelona, Spain, is the main entrance to the 1888 World Expo. It is built of red brick and belongs to the Moorish Renaissance style. The front lintel is carved with "Barcelona rep les nacions" ("Barcelona welcomes all countries"), the back lintel is carved with the name "Recompense", and the converse ribbon decoration contains a name "Retribution". The Arc de Triomphe has 12 female statues, representing honor and prestige, topped with the emblems of 49 Other Spanish provinces.
