Cauliflower soup for a starter and seared scallops as an entree with a carrots and mushrooms as side dishes. I also had a Glenfiddich 15 over an ice ball. Everything was nicely presented and very well prepared. The meal was surprisingly enjoyable,

La Viola Bistro is a casual BYOB with excellent Italian food served in a crowded and active location. Although the sound level can frequently be overwhelming, the food and friendly service well compensate. Fettucine with salmon in a creamy Cognac sauce was tasty but skimpy with the salmon while the veal pomodoro was delicious but the veal may have been pounded a bit too thin for a companion's preference.

This place is extremely busy and I can see why. The food is delicious! The manager is great! The dining are is kept clean and there are plenty of supplies to self serve.
