The ice cream & offering is nice but the prices are a bit ridiculous even for the city. Milkshakes start at nine dollars. And the crowds & line are barely worth the wait. It’s an ordeal to get in, wait, shuffle this way & that to get out of everyone’s way as they double back the whole length of the line to get out.

Stocks is without a doubt the best bakery I have ever been to!! They have been open for over 50 years and it is consistently amazing. The staple is obviously the pound cake which is amazing, especially the vanilla flavor!!

Bassets ice cream is a Philadelphia tradition. Generations of families continue to go here. Don’t miss the opportunity to have a delicious treat while at the reading terminal market or around Philadelphia.

There’s always a line. But it moves fast. We split a half dozen. All were good some were great. Truth of the matter is the most simple ones are the best ones
