Very friendly staff when I arrived and plenty of free parking. I got a spotlessly clean room with plenty of workspace, the coffee maker in the room is a nice touch. The hotel is only 10 mins walk from the town centre. As it was a quiet Tuesday night I ate in the hotel restaurant which was good value. Breakfast, included with the room, was served in the main restaurant and it was nice to have a freshly cooked fry up, not the usual lukewarm buffet most hotels seem to have now. Looking forward to staying again in a few weeks time.

Mixed opinions. We had visited Emerald Park and booked an overnight here afterwards with kids. Didnt find reception helpful or friendly at all at check in or check out. Room wasn't ready. Receptionist told us this very bruskly and no indication when it might be ready or that she would call us or any information whatsoever. When room was ready we weren't given any information about anything...breakfast times, our included dinner which we were never given the voucher for, what facilities were available for the kids. Same on checkout. We handed the keys over and that was it. No goodbye, how was your stay etc. I wouldn't usually even notice but the levels of disinterest were pretty high. The room was big and nice. However there was definitely an issue with the aur conditioning which despite being set to cool blasted hot air and was so uncomfortable . They could really invest in some nicer play areas for kids given how many kids visit from emerald park trips. The arcade is nothing but a money spinner for the hotel. Would have been nice to have something the kids could use free of charge rather than lollipop vending machines and grabbers. The restaurant was good. We had dinner included and the staff here were lovely, the food was good and the portions were huge.
