My husband and I stay at the GW at least 5-6 times per year. We always get the jr suite. I appreciated the updated showers. But when I got in, there was a clump of hair on the wall of the shower from a previous guest. I expect something like that from a Super 8 hotel. Not from The GW. Very disappointed.

Got the king room with the hot tub inside but unfortunately water ended up across the entire bathroom floor from somewhere all night long, so every time we had to go to the bathroom our feet got soaked and we had to dry them before getting back in bed, a premium room shouldn’t have had such an inconvenience. Also the side of the bed closest to the wall had a piece of mantle in the way that we both gouged our backs on trying to get past and from the look of the worn paint on the corner so did many other guests.

Horrible, dangerous location

My wife and I love this hotel! The staff is always friendly and restaurants and walking distance away. It was a great weekend!

It is a very nice hotel. The only problem was that we could hear the people next door to us through the walls pretty frequently and we could hear them coughing. the walls are pretty thin but it’s understandable with how old the hotel is. It still is very nice and it’s in a great spot for downtown!

This is a solid, comfortable older hotel with an attentive, customer-friendly staff. We have stayed there several times because it is located within easy walking distance of Old Town Winchester with its walking street and many restaurants and shops. The only unfortunate downside to our room, which was otherwise fine, is that the heating system on the very cold night we stayed was very loud and not conducive to a good night's sleep. Although we had the system set to a modest and reasonable 70 degrees F., it turned on often, was loud and did not make for a good night's sleep. In short -- this is a very good hotel, but especially on nights when the outdoor temperature is well above freezing.

This beautiful old hotel is absolutely amazing. The staff are incredible. Pool and spa area 1st class. Old world charm but up to date. We had a mobility access room and the bathroom/shower was large and very accessible. Dined in the restaurant and the food and drinks were perfect. Thanks so much!! We'll be back!

Staff was great and helpful. Received written info about current hotel services. Even room service was available. Nice to have UNO restaurant attached to hotel and could charge purchases to room. Issue was with the television which kept freezing. Maintenance came twice but issue was never resolved. Finally gave up complaining.

This is a lovely hotel! The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was so comfortable. There is a restaurant in the hotel as well as a bar with music but there are numerous dining options within walking distance. Plenty of parking. The pool is fantastic so don't forget your swim suit.

We were impressed that the front desk called our room to see that we were satisfied with the room!

Beautiful hotel where it was easy to walk to many parts in historic Winchester. Recommend!

Stay was amazing, super clean, smelled AMAZING in the hallways, great food options, comfortable bed, pretty pool, enjoyed the hot tub, truly wonderful for the price. Will deffinetly be staying again, was attending a concert at bright box and it was a short convenient walk. Staff was nice and very welcoming.

My favorite hotel. Everything is top notch. Walk over to the walking mall for amazing food, drink, and shopping. Beautiful pool, great food and drink on site.
