Perfect , really recommend

Really enjoyed our stay at the Saxonville. It’s a bit of a throwback in time to when things were done properly. Silver service, wedgewood and silverware all around, not to mention full waitress service. Spotless rooms and great staff add to the charm and character. Also, less than ten minutes walk to Whitby’s famous whale bones. The only downside was the lounge furniture which could do with an update as first impressions do actually count. Overall, well done everyone.

Travelled to Whitby for a 2 night stay. Location of hotel was great as easy walking distance into to town centre and attractions. The service provided was excellent. Breakfast was brilliant (table service), and a good range of options. Water and refreshments were provided in our room on arrival and also alternative options for food allergy.

We stayed two days here and it’s a fabulous hotel, from the moment we arrived the staff are great, in a great position and very clean, our room was lovely. We ate here and it was all very nice. Thank you.

First time staying at this hotel. The entire staff team were very helpful, friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the hotel's restaurant on the first night. Amazing breakfast! The location suited us...close enough to the seafront but not too far from the town. We'll definitely come again!

Had a lovely stay , great breakfast , Overall not a stunning hotel , but very clean , easy and great staff , especially the lady who looks after breakfast , made us feel really welcome . Would go back again

Nice traditional hotel, efficient courteous staff, large comfortable room, good food in elegant dining room.

This is a nice old/traditional hotel in a good location in Whitby. Having booked a deluxe twin we were initially placed in the only ground floor room 1. This had problem drains that made glugging noises and made the room smell musty, had clearly not been renovated for some time and had soft beds. Next day we changed to a lovely upper room that could not have been more different, with a sofa + chairs, comfy beds, good standard of decor etc. Breakfast is good with a range of choice all served to your table. Yes, we would go back and stay again, but only after making sure that we are not in room 1.....
