西拉法葉歡朋套房飯店(Hampton Inn & Suites West Lafayette)

Paula rules! Our GPS got us stuck at a road closure in a remote area. Paula talked us through every step in the convoluted, 15-minute route to the hotel. She gave us tons of information on the area -- restaurants, bars, and historical sites. The common areas are spacious and well lit. The swimming pool has warm salt water, so you can just float and relax. The room was excellent. It had more space, more storage, and better lighting than most chain hotels. Everything was clean and in working order. The breakfast was below average. It had the same selection as most chains, but the quality wasn't up to par. The scrambled eggs and the muffins were dry, and all the bananas were green. Still, we managed to put together an acceptable breakfast The only real negative is that the capeting was filthy. The overall carpet was gray and worn, and there were many large stains. It definitely needs to be washed, and should probably be replaced. That shouldn't be very difficult because it's the kind of carpet that comes in squares you just stick to the floor. Despite the carpet, we will return. The room is very good, the location is excellent, and Paula is an angel!

Walking distance to Purdue. Complimentary breakfast was adequate. Received a complimentary room upgrade for being a gold member. Overall the hotel was good and staff was nice and friendly. We only stayed one night for move-in weekend. My only complaint was falling asleep as the rooms facing the roundabout are pretty loud, windows don’t appear to be insulated. My recommendation would be white noise machines available for use for light sleepers such as my self.

I understand this hotel and the Hilton across the street are owned by the same company. However. This hotel was MUCH cleaner and better cared for. Still, no luggage carts and that was pretty bad. I would definitely stay here again. Overall happy with the hotel.
