普特尼飯店(The Putney Inn)

Sorry, I was unable to stay the night. The room smelled like mold, there was water on the bathroom floor you could see on the baseboards where the mold was and they just tried to wipe it off. I tried to take a shower and the water never got hot , so I just washed up in the sink. I was severely disgusted and after I came back from dinner just returned my key and left.

Like others have said, don't judge the inside by the outside. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I loved that my room had a functional bathroom window! Breakfast included waffles, oatmeal, cereal, toast, pb, yogurt, etc. Coffee was so-so. There is also in-room coffee, with fridge and microwave. There might not be a pool but there is a small playground for little ones. Pet rooms do not have king beds.

The staff were very pleasant, however our room was shockingly unpleasant. There was a strong odor of mildew the minute one entered the room. There was a visible layer of dust on the nightstand, the sliding glass door lock was difficult to work. There was visible black mold in the bathroom. I feel terrible bringing up all of these things because I know the knew owners are working hard to restore this Inn to its former standing - but it really needs a lot more work. I am sorry.

very old, very dark, no AC, no windows to open. For security I would never think to leave the patio sliding door opened. Not expected after seeing beautiful rooms advertised online. Putney Inn and Restaurant are closed. No advertising that. Manger smirked when I said that we won't be serving. Breakfast was to be served in small office. Not very clean.

Large room with newish furniture and all bathroom supplies however there was an unpleasant odor of cigarette smoke in the room and the A/C system was old so it didn’t stay on but was in a kind of “eco” mode all night, blowing on and off.

Quiet, provides the basics. Definitely could use a deep cleaning and some fresh paint, but for the price, it works. I have returned multiple times when I have events to attend in the area and would stay again.

Very decent motel. Nothing fancy, but rooms clean, safe. Nice people in the main office. Very convenient to Putney and right off I91.

Upon driving up to the property we weren't sure it was in business, but it is! Worked well as a stop on our road trip thru Vermont. Quiet, convenient, reasonably priced. Bite of breakfast in the morning & we were off!

Surprisingly rooms is very spacious and nice/clean. Looks like recently renovated. House keeping stopped by 2nd day and emptied our garbage and gave new towels while we were out even though we didn’t request (common since covid). Owner/staff was very friendly and informative when I asked him questions. Breakfast was nothing fancy but nice to have some before heading out. Here are some cons (nothing was major.) 1. Could hear talking from next room but they were quiet at night so no complaint. 2. Lights are either too dim or not bright enough to read a book in a room. 3. Could smell something when entered (looks like no air ventilation?), but let door and window open for while, smell’s gone (or I felt like.) overall, I enjoyed my staying and will definitely come back when needed.
