Very close to the train station . The breakfast is pretty good .

Zimmer = zu klein, Ohne Kühlschrank, nur ab 6.te Etage. Rezeption weit unterdurchschnittlich. Arrogant fern ab von einem guten Kundenservice. Preise völlig überzogen. Man vergas meine Anschlussbuchung. Dafür die Nachricht "Pech " Und das bei Preisen zwischen 140 und 220€ Positiv das Bett und das Frühstück zu 33€ Jetzt sind die meisten von uns in einem anderen Hotel untergekommen, Preis 98€ inklusive Spassbad, Thermenzugang und Frühstück. Hier wird man wie ein Gast behandelt, der gerne gesehen ist. Schade das man bei Voco Statuskunden nicht wie solche behandelt. Ich verzichte lieber auf die Hotelpunkte als auf einen tollen Aufenthalt. Der einzige wirkliche Vorteil ist die Stadtnähe, zum Kunden gibt es keinen Unterschied

Buona struttura con personale gentile e professionale, sopratutto Flavio, addetto alla ristorazione e al bar che è stato molto professionale e gentile. Personale meno accogliente alla reception. Camere pulite e spaziose. Nota negativa il servizio bar… location molto bella ma con orari troppo stringenti e sopratutto sprovvisto di snack e altri generi alimentari sia durante la mattina che pomeriggio per gli aperitivi. Ristorante in compenso ottimo sia come servizio che come cucina. Non si addice ad un 4 stelle. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo

I will not go into detail about the service, location, or whatever, but I will specifically target the room, because this is not worth an IGH standard. I booked this hotel, because I needed to have surgery in Villach and had to be at the hospital very early in the morning and therefore got myself a room. I will be honest, I took the cheapest room, which was the "Cozy" and still was 135€ per night for me. When I arrived at my room, I couldn't believe my eyes, it was an adapted conference room, with a pull-up bed. One could clearly see the "walls" that could be put away and the beamer overhead for presentations. I was just shocked. I will admit, I could have gone back to the front desk to ask them to change the room, but I was kind of nervous and tired, so I didn't do that. And it seems that the hotel was pretty much booked, so I didn't have high hopes for another room... Anyway, apart from this very weird room, also the cleanliness was questionable, the coffee mugs were already covered in dust, the spoons were brown, from past use? As I had to get up very early anyway I didn't mind the preparing of the conference room next door, which involved vaccuming and loud phone calls. If I would have been here for leisure and wanted to get a good sleep in, that would not have been the correct adress. I did tell the hotel about my bad experience and asked them to clarify. Basically they told me that it was my own fault, as I booked the cozy room and that they are indeed cheaper. After consulting the website, one cannot identify on the pictures that the "cozy" rooms appear to be conference rooms, that can be reused as rooms when needed and have a pull-out-bed. Additionally the "normal" rooms were just 10€ more expensive, and appear to be nice at least looking at the pics. They did offer me a 10% discount for my next stay. I gladly decline that. Therefore for all others: If you decide to stay at the Voco don't take the Cozy rooms, especially not for that price, its a scam. An IHG hotel should at least have the decency to not sell those "things" as rooms and certainly not at this price ...

Für einen Kurzaufenthalt in der Region Villach/Klagenfurt hatte ich mir das voco Villach ausgesucht. Ich habe bereits einige voco Hotels besucht, meist sind es neu gestaltete Hotels anderer IHG-Marken. Das Haus ist von außen leider sehr nichtssagend. Innen hat man sich sehraber viel Mühe beim Design gegeben. Die Zimmer sind auch gut gestaltet, allerdings ist die Beleuchtungsqualität wieder mal dem Design zum Opfer gefallen. Ich habe trotz Diamond-Mitgliedschaft bei IHG kein Upgrade bekommen und durfte so nicht auf die Drau blicken. Da es keine Minibar gab, bekam ich einige Getränke und kleine Snacks als nette Zugabe. Die Lage des Hotels zum Bahnhof und auch die Innenstadt ist optimal. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das sehr umfangreiche Frühstücksbuffett.

Con amici abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura in centro a Villach, posizione comodissima, parcheggio a pagamento interrato adiacente all’hotel, camere di dimensioni generose e pulitissime,colazione ottima sia di qualità che di assortimento, personale gentile e professionale. Lo consiglio

We discovered this hotel in 2019 and have been staying many times per year since then. With the spire/diamond ambassador elite, always qualified for free breakfast, and that was great, but the quality has gone down a bit. An occasional upgrade would have been nice but no such luck. At some point in 2022, the hotel changed the standard room type bookable with points to the lowest possible room type and raised the point rate so much it’s now 50% more expensive to book with points than cash. Seems that they are turning their back on IHG elites.

THEY DID NOT RUN THE AIR CONDITIONERS! WE HAD THE WORST DAY IN OUR LIFE AT THIS HOTEL. HAD TO USE WET TOWELS TO COOL OURSELVES. MY WIFE ALMOST ENDED UP IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM!
